We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Ko’olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean.

The Hale Ali'i is a fully air conditioned direct oceanfront vacation home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers impressive views from one end of Hauula bay to the other with the beautiful Koolau Mountains beyond. This is a spacious (1,500+ sf living area) two bedroom, two bath duplex home with porcelain tile & marble floors throughout. The Hale Ali'i features a complete, large and open modern kitchen with porcelain tile countertops, sealed top stove/range, built-in microwave, side by side fridge, dishwasher, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals.
The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical & plantation style furniture and enjoys breath-taking ocean views. There is a queen size futon in the "bonus" Soji (Japanese style) room in addition to a separate dining room with seating for six. The master suite is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture and a queen size mahogany sleigh bed. Both bedrooms have new (2007) Sealy pillow top mattresses for added comfort. The master bath features black marble floors and a unique moss rock wall shower. The second bedroom also has a queen size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. Both bedrooms have individually controlled air conditioning & tropical ceiling fans although they are rarely needed as this home enjoys cool tropical breezes year around.
Enjoy relaxing on the direct ocean front decks which open up to the blue South Pacific ocean only 20 feet away. Your private deck area has an outdoor dining table with seating for six. There is plenty of area for sunbathing on the beach or on the grassy yard. Watch spectacular sunrises while soaking in a six man sunk-in hot tub (in adjacent oceanfront deck). Stroll down the beach to the Hauula beach park and coral preserve for some great snorkeling and swimming or take our ocean kayaks out for some adventure. Close by are world famous North Shore attractions such as the Hauula hiking trails & preserve, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay Resort & Golf, Brigham Young University, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Kualoa Ranch and the last unspoiled "Hawaiian" style towns on Oahu. Why the Owner Chose Hauula
Our family has owned and operated this business for two generations now. Originally our goal was to provide accommodations for people visiting family at BYU-Hawaii who wanted a more family-friendly atmosphere. We then realized the need for quality oceanfront vacation rentals at an affordable rate...this is our mission today, to provide quality, yet affordable, oceanfront vacation rentals on the North Shore of Oahu.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Guests who stay with us get more than just a place to sleep at night, they get their own beach house on the North Shore of Oahu. We have 450 linear feet of oceanfront property giving our guests plenty of room to lounge in the sun while being cooled down by the gentle breezes of the South Pacific Ocean. We also have four hot tubs on the property plus kayaks, boogie boards, snorkeling gear and complimentary high-speed internet. Each of our units come with full kitchens and 11 of them have air-conditioning. We are located four minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center and Brigham Young University Hawaii. We are also located 20 minutes north of Kualoa Ranch and 15 minutes from Sunset Beach and the famous North Shore surfing beaches.
Within walking distance to Hale Ko’olau with a large grocery store and several restaurants, including the very popular Papa Ole’s Kitchen.
This is one of our favorite beach parks on O’ahu. Enjoy excellent sandy bottom swimming on this stunning and uncrowded beach.
This beach is also one of our favorites on the island and is famous for boogie boarding and body surfing…but watch out…they call it “Pounders” for a reason.

We have operated as Hale Koolau LLC for nearly a decade, however prior to this change of entity we operated the business as sole proprietors, accommodating thousands of guests over the years. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii with an A+ rating, member of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, and have an "excellent" rating on TripAdvisor.

The purpose of our trip was to celebrate our partners 50th birthdays. The place we stayed in was certainly not the most important thing on our agenda; our to-do list was the priority. This is why we decided to go for the 2 bedroom that slept 6. Imagine how delighted we were when we walked into this beautiful home. It was comfortable and exquistly decorated. We truly felt like we were at home. The property was very clean and well-maintained. We had no complaints. If we needed anything the managers were always within easy contact. In fact, they even found and mailed home our package that was left behind. I would recommend this property to anyone. This was beyond what we expected and just made our vacation so much better.
