This "farm house" style home sits on 20 beautiful wooded acres of lawns and meadows with creeks running through the grounds. There are barns and cribs on the property that date back to the early 1900's. Wild flowers grow along the road on both sides of the lawn in the summer. Wild life such as deer, ground hogs, turkey, owls and a variety of birds are often seen on the grounds.
Inside you'll find a cozy, yet roomy home to relax and make yourself comfortable. There is a full kitchen on the main floor next to the living room. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a bonus room above the garage with 2 futons and 2 twin beds. The bonus room is great for the kids. The bottom floor is a basement with a half kitchen, a bedroom, a full bath, pool and ping pong table and TV.

Why the Owner Chose Morganton
Our home sits on 20 acres of grassy meadows and trees. There are gentle slopes with constant flowing creeks. In the morning you can hear a pin drop as you sit on the deck in your rocking chair or porch swing. The views are magnificent yet there is plenty of room to roam around or play ball.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our family goes there for many reasons. The house sits on 20 acres giving us room to play and plenty of privacy. We feel like we have the hill sides to ourselves. We often create our own baseball diamond or golf course in the meadows and lawns on property. The kids are older and they enjoy a variety of activities from baseball to golf to archery without leaving the home site. I enjoy hiking around the grounds or the neighboring developments. There are also many activities near by from white water rafting and tubing the river in the summer to hiking parts of the Appalachian Trail in the the Spring or Fall. There are festivals in nearby small towns with many places to visit, shop or just mingle with other folks who enjoy a slower pace of life.

My family and I enjoy being outdoors among nature. That is why we love our second home. There is so much to do there and so much to see without leaving the grounds. Trees, wildlife, and acres of meadows surround us. We love the peaceful feeling.
