WOW...don't even know where to begin! What an amazing Holiday! Beautiful home away from home! Would recommend this home in a heartbeat to anyone. Mary is very easy to work with and had everything just perfect for us. We arrived to a nice bottle of wine and couldn't wait to begin our week stay. We will for sure be back!!!! Thanks for the great memories!!!! :)

This is truly your own private resort. The house and pool area are absolutely gorgeous. We had 4 couples and you never once felt like you were on top of each other. The kitchen has everything you could need. We would go back in a heartbeat. Do not hesitate to stay here - and Mary is a gem to work with.

This home is absolutely beautiful! The owner has thought of everything to provide a wonderful home away from home for our family Holiday vacation. Seven of us were very comfortable in the spacious rooms. The decor is fantastic causing my sister-in -law to remark she was in a desert "castle"! The kitchen is to die for with everything we needed for my gourmet brother to cook to his heart's content. Large TV's provide for all viewing tastes and there is plenty of room to play board games on two of the large tables. There were even tasteful holiday decorations making it very festive! The house is wonderfully located with shopping and dining close by. It is an easy drive to Palm Springs for the Follies which is a must if visiting or Christmas dinner at Melvyn's--old Palm Springs) Tons of golf courses in the vicinity so easy to pick from. We had terrific weather ( of course, Mary the owner, made sure of that!) so the pool and spa were a delight. Warm days--cool nights--The pool area is the highlight of the house with beautiful landscaping and lighting. Mary is easy to work with and the details were oh so easy. For a large group this place can't be beat! Not too bad for two of us either! The only negative--we had to leave-- I could spend lots of time here!

WOW!!! This place is AMAZING. Far exceeded our expectations, which were very high. We returned home at 2am this morning after a 6 1/2 hour drive and after experiencing one of our best, most relaxing vacations ever. We stayed a week and hated to leave. The house is amazing and the pool and yard is as good as it gets. The photo's of the place do not do it justice. It's 100% safe and in a nice gated residential area which was extremely quiet and peaceful. The house has everything you need for a 5 star getaway. The pool is like a tropical desert oasis. My kids enjoyed Tennis and swimming and we had some great meals over at the mall called "The River" and elsewhere. The place is a dream home inside and out. Nobody ever got bored and honestly after many family vacations, this would rank in my top three of our lives. The owner, Mary Baker was incredible all the way and there is nothing I can say that was not 100% awesome about our stay. FANTASTIC!! I would give it 10 stars if I could. Cannot wait to go back.

WOW! What a wonderful experience. I have rented several VRBO homes in the past and absolutely none compare to this one. The home is beautiful, private and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with anything you could possibly need. I don't even know how to describe the exterior......just an amazaing private paradise. Mary is great to work with and very accomodating. The bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived was a very special touch! Planning a return trip next year.

A wonderful time in at a perfect location. Close to everything. Nothing forgotten to enjoy the pool and back yard. plenty of seating, lounger and tables with umbrella shades. Even a shade umbrella while sitting in the pool. The house was fantastic, Already planning our next winter get a way.

We have rented many houses around the US on VRBO and this was an excellent experience. We stayed for 7 nights around Christmas 2010. Mary was very easy to work with and the house is exactly as it is represented. The pool and spa area are excellent and the house is decorated beautifully. This is a very quiet peaceful house.

Dream vacation

We recently planned a "once in a lifetime" vacation to the Coachella Valley with our parents and two other recently retired couples. Most had never been to the Palm Springs area before so we hoped to plan a trip that all would remember. When we came across Mary's Paradise, we quickly knew we had found our home base. The home was simply wonderful. Even with eight people, there was tons of room and privacy when you wanted it. When we arrived, we were introduced to the home with a(n appreciated!) bottle of wine and a spotless interior. The kitchen was fabulous with everything you could imagine. The bedrooms large and again quite private. I have to say, there were even a couple of rooms we hardly went into. Being Canadians however, the highlight had to be the back yard. A wonderfully clean pool with absolute privacy in the shade of the many palm trees was such a relaxing place to be. If there was a close second, it was the attached hot tub which some people (without naming names) probably would have lived-in our entire stay. The house was very accessible being on one floor and in a very quiet gated community. It was also close to shopping, restaurants, golf and only 10 minutes from the freeway making it easy access - we went to an Anaheim Ducks one evening and were there under two hours. We confirmed that this home was the right choice as everyone is still talking about our vacation a month after returning home. Thank you Mary for sharing with us!

Great golfing stay

After searching many of the properties listed on VRBO we knew that we found our vacation home with this property and couldn't have been more excited to get there. Prior to our trip Mary was so helpful. She sent us a packet with details of the property, how to use the amenities and an outline of the area around her property. We didn't realize what a gem we had found until we actually got to the home! It was so beautiful and decorated like a home, not a rental. The pictures do not do it justice, it really is stunning both inside and out. You couldn't help but be drawn to the pool area and enjoy what it had to offer. Many of the pools you will see on listings will not have the landscaping and privacy that this pool had to offer. The landscape lighting at night makes the pool look like your own private resort. We golfed 5 days out of 7 days and we were surprised how close we were to many courses. We cannot wait to come back and stay. Thanks again Mary, you were so nice and helpful in making our stay one that we will keep sharing our memories with all our friends and family.

Dream Vacation Home

I cannot say enough about this marvellous vacation home! My family and I took our grand vacation to Palm Springs at the end of May and found this home to be wonderfully accommodating. Mary has stocked, decorated, and supplied the house to the nines. The appliances were new and easy to use, the house and yard were clean and inviting, and the owners were always just a phone call away if we needed any questions answered. We used the provided, quality bicycles to bike the neighbourhood in the mornings and the tennis racquets and balls for a game at the court that was only about a minute's distance. The pool, spa, and lawn chairs were also top notch and wonderfully comfortable. Furthermore, the gated community was quiet and well manicured. We would recommend this house to anyone and everyone!

What a place!!

We have rented many homes in Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert, and this home was easily the nicest we have had the pleasure of renting. The home is wonderful and is furnished and decorated beautifully- trust us, the photos don't do it justice. There is everything you need in a home and much more. The four bedrooms are great and the master bedroom is unbelievable. The backyard is fabulous and has a beautiful variety of palm trees, plants and tropical flowers. The pool and spa are great and there are many spots to sit in the sun or shade, whatever you prefer.The neighborhood tennis and basketball courts are just a minute or two walk away. Groceries and supplies are just a 5 minute drive away. Mary was very helpful, and a real pleasure to deal with ( the information package we received before arriving was really informative). We had a great vacation and would highly recommend this home to anyone. We will definitely be back, hopefully ASAP.

Mary you have thought of everything! Seven girlfiends and myself spent the first week of March in this beautiful home. We have been traveling to various venues at this time every year for the past 20 some years and have become very picky about where we stay. Your home rates right up there at the top! I've never dealt with anyone so supremely accommodating, you made our visit positively wonderful. We were even lucky enough to view the Academy Awards in your comfy theater room. An added plus are the tropical grounds and quiet surrounding neighborhood. The perfect vacation!!!

Where do I start? We returned from our vacation from this property on March 15, 2010 (2 days ago). I have organized several trips to Palm Springs for myself and my friends and this was by far the best experience we have had. This house is amazing. Words can not do it justice. The attention to details, the cleanliness, the bedrooms.I could go on and on. We felt like Kings. The backyard is even more beautiful with the heated pool and hot tub/spa surrounded by palm trees and landscaping that is second to none. The icing on the cake had to be the wonderful service we received from the owner. We received a pre-vacation package in the mail that told us everything we needed to know, she was always available to answer any questions I had, and was extremely pleasant to deal with. The whole experience was a 10 out of 10 (or better). Thank you, Mary - you and your home are both awesome! We will be back.

What a fabulous stay we had over the holidays at this exquisite home. The pictures do not do justice to this designer decorated home. Be guaranteed that this is not a stripped down rental. Careful attention was taken to be sure for everyone’s comfort and relaxation. From the luxurious rooms to the beautiful tropical pool, nothing was spared! We enjoyed many walks through the quiet neighborhood and the tennis court was very close. We found that this home was close to everything we needed; shopping, dining and entertainment. We plan on returning in 2010 and highly recommend this home as an extraordinary desert getaway. Sarah J. Ohio
