Step back in time in this 600 sq. ft. charming Carriage House where the chauffeur used to live in the 1940s. The structure has been completely remodeled. It is secluded and very private with beautiful views all around. The bedroom has a double bed that can sleep one couple. The furnishings have been specifically chosen to give the ambience of a shabby-chic-style cottage.
The French antique daybed in the living room doubles as a bed that can sleep a single person. The full service kitchen is designed to allow guests to cook meals at home. The bathroom has a claw-foot tub and shower reminiscent of days gone by. This is truly a home away from home.
The Carriage House is part of a larger historic farm with several out buildings. Secluded but still within 1/2 hour from a major metropolitan airport, Washington Dulles. It is close to the village of Waterford, VA, a National Historic Trust treasure. Towns such as Harpers' Ferry MD, Middleburg VA ,Shepherd's Town MD, Winchester VA and The Plains, VA are all easy day trips.
There are quite a few really good restaurants within driving distance for those not inclined to cook.
