My family enjoyed a memorable vacation in the Marais and loved our apartment. When we arrived, everything was very clean and organized. We were welcomed by a lovely bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine! We found the notebook left by the owner to be very helpful in finding restaurants and local sites. The apartment was comfortable and quiet. My two daughters (6 and 9) slept well on the sofa bed. Although we did not cook much, we found the kitchen well stocked and did use the washing machine. The location of the apartment is ideal: within walking distance of great cafes and shops and a short walk to the metro. We have already recommended this apartment to friends and family.

This apartment is an amazing location for great restaurants and shopping. The pull out couch and chair were great for my 3 children (9,7,5) and easily walked to dinner each night with kids. Would recommend to all my friends

I very much enjoyed my stay in this apartment. It is just as advertised. This was my 3rd visit to Paris and my first stay in an apartment. So glad I did. Thankfully, there was someone to meet us at the apartment, and they were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We just got back from a wonderful December trip to Paris. This apartment was perfect for our needs. The furnishings are nice (it looks exactly like the photos) and it was super clean. There were four of us (2 in the bedroom and 2 on the sofa bed, which is super comfortable, by the way) and we had enough room. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pans and utensils we needed, though we didn't cook much. The apartment was fantastic, but what really topped it off was the location - we walked almost everywhere. There were tons of shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby, and there are 3 close metro stops. I would rent this apartment again without hesitation. I'm already working on plans to get back here!

Perfect Paris Experince

After having been in Paris too many times to count but never in an apt, I had high hopes for a real Paris apt. experience. The cost was a stretch for us but worth every centime. We figured the b'fast of home make coffee and bread from bakery plus several at home evening picnic meals easily drew the cost down. The apt met all my expectations. We are both design, layout, decor, simplicity, etc conscious and any old place won't do. Carole's choice of everything was well done. I liked that the kitchen was a totally separate room so you didn't have to look at appliances in the livingroon. The small table in living room opened to a full sized rectangle to accommodate all the bread, cheese, fruit, salad etc from the markets. Altho right on the street the double pained window kept out any noise but you get all the pleasure of looking down at the lively street scene. The bedroom faces the innner courtyard so was very quiet. We loved finding a bottle of champagne and fruit on arrival. There was painting going on in the stairwell when we arrived and we did have to stay in for 3 hrs one morning for the door to get painted but that inconvenience was rewarded by Carol with more champagne and a box of chocolates. What's to complain about! Just another typical Paris experience. We loved exploring our neighborhood, Many moments of hard choice---stay in and enjoy the apt or yet another walk in Paris. We were there for a week; my next dream is 2 weeks or a month.

Perfect apartment, great location

My husband and I went to Paris for a 6-day vacation with very little advance notice. We were grateful to find an apartment in a good area for our specific nights. This apartment was awesome- it was as presented in the pictures, all quality furniture and appliances. All in good condition and functioning. It was spacious and very comfortable. The wifi and international phone worked great so we could keep in touch with home. When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine and a lovely basket of fruit on the table. We found an amazing street a few blocks away with excellent shops for cheese, bread, pastries, meat, fresh fish, wine and groceries. Across the street is a terrific restaurant, plus many more a few blocks away. The location is great. The Marais is a wonderful place to call home base, with charming streets, beautiful shops. There is even an art bookstore next door. We walked to most places. The George Pompideau Modern Art Museum and Hotel de Ville are in easy walking distance, but so are most things. Carole was very helpful and arranged our transfer from the airport. She had many guidebooks and suggestions waiting in the apartment. We would definitely stay here again.

Not quite what the brochure said!

We spent a long weekend in the apartment in Feb 2011. The apartment is lovely and there is no better location in the Marais; however, there were a few issues that affected the quality of our experience. Firstly, there is currently major renovation works being carried out in the stairwell and hallways. This results in building dust being carried into the apartment and you have to be careful not to brush the walls on your way up, otherwise you will be covered in dust. We were also woken up early in the morning as the bedroom faces onto the courtyard where the builders were working. I think that this situation should have been indicated on the website. We also had a problem with the shower tray and had to take the filter our ourselves and clean months of dirt and hair.

I am sorry to hear that your stay wasn't as pleasant as it might have been, due to renovation work in the building. I sincerely apologize to you for that ; I can imagine that breathing dust wasn't very pleasant. Unfortunately, as owners, we are not informed of renovation dates which makes it rather difficult for us all. I am contacting the next guests to anticipate. Also, I have given instructions to my housekeeper to make sure the shower does not block again in future (I would have gladly sent him back to the apartment had you contacted me during your stay). I hope that these issues didn't spoil your visit and that you enjoyed Paris. Carole

You're lucky if this apartment is available during the time you're in Paris..if it is, reserve it right away! It's an extremely process and Carole is great to work with. For the two of us, the apartment hit a home run on all that was important to us - location, accessibility to mass transit, comfort, safe neighborhood, interesting & historical neighborhood...I could go on with the positive descriptions. It's a wonderful place to stay while you're in Paris...check it out for yourselves.

This beautiful apartment is ideally situated in one of the best walking neighborhoods in Paris. The area is home to many interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. Be sure to check out Des Gars dans la Cuisine across the street from the apartment (reservations required). The apartment is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The large windows and high ceilings definitely have lend a Parisian vibe. The owner has thought of everything from guide books, to games to a list of wonderful recommended restaurants that were excellent. I would definitely recommend this apartment to a friend or family member and intend to return in the future. Perfectly located near the Line 1 St. Paul metro station that has a direct routes to all of the best sites in the city.

Fabulous apartment for family visiting Paris

Our family of 5 stayed comfortably in this wonderful apartment in the Marais. The apartment is well equipped with all the necessities and an air conditioner which was welcome during the first week of August! The Marais is a wonderful area full of wonderful cafes, bistros, and shops- so much to do and see. The metro is a 10 minute walk from the apartment and the Isle Saint Louis and the wonderful Berthillon ice cream shop is only about 15 minutes away. This apartment was perfect for our 2 adult 2 teen and 1 preteen family. Thanks Carole for a lovely stay. We will be back!

We have been to Paris multiple times but we have always stayed in hotels such as the Intercontinental or boutique hotels. This apartment is NEW and REMODELED but has so much character. What you see in the photos is what you are getting. This flat is a vacation rental so it is not like you are living in someone's apartment. It is clean and well maintained. Spacious comparing to a European hotel room. Conveniently located, with quaint shops and restaurants just right outside, this neighborhood has so much character... It gave us a taste of Parisian living without being in the heart of a touristy neighborhood but close enough to all the main attractions. The bedroom is smaller, (as expected for European scale) but the living room is very, very spacious. Also, we appreciate the bowl of fruits and bottle of wine (the extra touch) offered to us at check in. The owner arranged a driver to pick us up from the train station making it so convenient. The owner using a property manager just knows how to care for us. :) On Friday and Sat nights, the street is a little noisy but it didn't affect our sleeping because the bedroom is in the back facing the courtyard. I highly recommend this property. You will truly enjoy it as much as our family!

We had a great time on our short visit to Paris. The location of the apartment was perfect...easy subway ride to all of the major tourist sites and all the shopping you can do right outside the door! The outdoor cafes & parks in Paris are wonderful! Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful apartment!

We stayed at this apartment in June 2010 and had an enjoyable time. The location is great and close to shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, supermarket etc and only 8-10 minutes walk to the nearest Metro station. The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are quite compact but the living area is generous in size and accurately reflected in the photos. The property was clean and well maintained with all the amenities one needs for a short stay.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It is in a great area of Paris with lots of shops and restaurants. The apartment looks exactly as pictured on the website and is much better than staying in a hotel room which is generally very small. We would definitely stay here again!

We just returned from a wonderful stay in the Marais for Christmas with our two teen-age children. The apartment was great. Plenty of room to spread out with separate sleeping arrangements for everyone. We went everywhere on the Metro (just a few blocks away)and the shopping was so convenient. It was definintely home away from home. The washer/dryers in UK and France are a little tricky (look for the lint trap before starting a load)but with a little patience not hard to manage. Would gladly stay again. Thank you Carole for your kind hospitality!
