The kitchen looks like it came from a space ship and includes all the latest appliances: Meile computer oven, U-line icemaker, kitchen aid dishwashers, hidden ventilation system for the cooktop, sub zero drawer freezer and refrigerators, etc. Four spacious bedrooms, three white marble lined bathrooms with Italian hardware (master bath has a jacuzzi tub). Three wood burning fireplaces. Numerous flat screen TVs and a home theater system that includes Bose surround and a projector with a 12 foot image for the ultimate movie theater experience. There is also a custom designed 10’ table with hidden electric outlets perfect for dining, meetings, projects, etc. Elegant and private Japanese gardens.
Rates massively better than a hotel room even for just two people. $300 a night with 3 night minimum. Holiday special: $5,850.00 per month. Discount for multi-month visit.

Why the Owner Chose Mariners
Best climate in the world! The "California Riviera". Beautiful nautural harbor with 7 islands! In about an hour you can drive to Los Angeles, mountains for skiing/snowboarding, or the desert-- exclusive and incredible shopping, super clean beaches, beautiful people, prestige, etc. Walk/bicycle to everything. Beaches on the Balboa Peninsula feature surfing, sunbathing and body-boarding at local hot spot "the Wedge". Corona Del Mar and Crystal Cove State Park, to the south. The Catalina Flyer, a giant 500 passenger catamaran provides daily runs to Catalina Island.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house is located in the "Newport Heights" area--the best in Newport-- with an easy walk to the beach/bay; award winning bay/ocean view park just steps away, easy access to all amenities including nightlife, but super quiet in the house with no tourists peering into your living room or who knows what on the sidewalk as there are on the peninsula/touristy areas. The house is filled with original art work (not in the photos) and every convenience-- spa like bathrooms and very large and well designed rooms and furnishings. It's a very hard house to leave as it is so comfortable.

We purchased the house in the mid-90s, and recently did a complete renovation and redesign by a Los Angeles artist, including new plumbing, electricity, floors, roof, etc. It is totally "green" and features 35 foot sky lights.
