Accommodations:  House, 4 Bedrooms + Loft + Den, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 9-11)

This location takes advantage of all Breckenridge has to offer. After an fun day skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, or shopping come home to a restful, quiet neighborhood just minutes from it all.

The home has an open and spacious living area and is great for gatherings of all kinds. The two bedrooms downstairs are located for maximum privacy from the living area. One bedroom has a Queen bed and the Bunk Room has a Single bed on top, Queen bed on bottom and a Queen trundle (sleeps 5 people). The loft upstairs provides extra sleeping quarters with a Queen sofa sleeper and has a half bath. In the large master suite upstairs there is a King bed, a whirlpool tub, shower, and separate dry sauna.

After a “hard day” of having fun, one can relax and soothe sore muscles in the outdoor HOT TUB.

A large two-car garage provides shelter for cars as well as equipment storage.

Summer Fun – summer is amazing in Breckenridge. There is actually more to do in the summer than in the winter! Across the street, caddy-corner from the house is a trail head down to the scenic Burro Trail, a National Forest trail. Just turn right once reaching the Burro Trail and it is a beautiful hike through forest and along a creek to Breckenridge’s shopping and entertainment on Main Street – from the home 15-20 minutes. Or turn left once meeting the main Burro Trail and you enter backcountry with some of Summit County’s best hiking and mountain biking. Hike 2 hours and enjoy a picnic at an incredible waterfall on the Mohawk trail, flanked by high alpine lakes and peaks, or choose from the many trails all over the mountain.

Winter Fun - Ski-out access is via the trailhead to the Burro Trail. This is just across the street, caddy-corner from the house and requires moderate skill level. (Beginners may easily walk this trail.) This trail takes you to the base of Peak 9 either via the Burro Trail, or via Lower Lehman run (a green). You may cross the bunny hill and traverse the Frontier and Lower Lehman runs to the Beaver Run SuperChair lift for more advanced runs; or you may ski down the Frontier run to the Quicksilver Super6 lift for green runs, or to access to the Falcon lift taking one to the more advanced blue and black runs on Peak 10 and the ski in access.

Ski-in access is via Peak 10, Access the Falcon Chair lift and take Cimarron Run (an enjoyable Black). Cimarron finishes into the Flapjack run, where one takes the trail through the National Forest back to the Warriors Mark West neighborhood - a few feet from where you started out! Please note that ski-in access from Cimarron requires advanced skill. One may also take the green Lower Lehman run to access the trail back home. The Lower Leman when open requires only moderate skill level, but is a bit more of a hike back up to the road. (Beginners may easily walk this trail.)

Free Bus Service: There is a bus stop is at the intersection of Broken Lance and White Cloud, at the bottom of the hill. A daily Summit County newspaper can be found (for the early bird as they go quickly) here as well. The free bus service at this location is the Brown/Warriors Mark bus (electric sign at top of bus). This bus can be picked from locations around town and from lifts and will return you to this location as well.

Room Changes: We have moved the bunk bed currently shown in the loft to a back bedroom. Given the two queens and single in this bunk, it made sense to put it in a private location. The loft now has a queen sleeper sofa.

breckenridge 4 bedroom home

Guest: greg (fairfield, iowa)
Date of Stay: 03/25/12 Review Submitted: 04/17/12

I stayed at this property march 26th to april 1st 2012. The property was clean, with a great kitchen and dining room. The bedroom i was in was spacious and quiet. The ski in ski out access was close by ie down the drive way and accross the street. This access was a trail through the trees used by the locals and a short distance to a ski run that takes you to the beaver lift on peak 8. Coming back was also easy with a short walk back to the house. I will definitely stay there again. The owner was very helpful his description is accurate.

Quiet mountain retreat with great open floorplan

Guest: TNyst (Southlake, TX)
Date of Stay: 03/11/12 Review Submitted: 03/17/12

If you are looking fror true ski in/ski out, this is not the place. The bus route is way down the hill, and not considered walkable for most people. If you are looking for a quiet mountain retreat close to downtown Breck, but away from all of the the traffic and noise, then this is your place. Not a ton of upgrades, but the floorplan is nice and open and has a great feel to it. The master suite upstairs is huge, and the bath is complete with a dry sauna. Only major complaints about this unit is the lack of space for clothing while enjoying the home, and the master bedroom TV location. There are NO dressers for clothes in any of the rooms, except a nightstand. There were not even racks for suitcases, so our clothes were layed in piles all over the room. The TV stand was so low, that you could not even see the whole TV from the bed. Other than that, this was a fabulous home in good shape, and if we were looking to be in a secluded neighborhood close to town, we would definately stay there again.

Owner response:We are glad you stayed at our home. We have to disagree strongly with your assertion on the Ski in/out. This home is a true ski in/out for intermediate to advanced skiers just as stated in the description. The trail head is just across the street and the entire neighborhood uses it reliably. All homes in this neighborhood are advertised the same, ski in/out. To save space you are correct, we do not have dressers. Most folks hang their clothes on the provided closet hangers. Each room has a closet full of them. Thanks again.

Maravilhosa Breckenridge

Guest: Vinícius L. (Brasil)
Date of Stay: 01/27/12 Review Submitted: 02/26/12

Estivemos 3 semanas nesta casa. No geral, achei a casa fantástica, recomendo a todos.

Ski em Breckenridge

Guest: Vinícius L. (Brasil)
Date of Stay: 01/27/12 Review Submitted: 02/24/12

Owner response:Thank you and it was our pleasure having you all. I promise to practice my Brasilian and Spanish for the next trip! Gracias a todo.

Great property in a convenient location for your Colorado vacation

Guest: rjcornelia (Orange County, California)
Date of Stay: 01/13/12 Review Submitted: 01/21/12

My friends and I chose Breckenridge for our annual season winter kick-off. I found this property and contacted Alan regarding availability and he was very helpful and addressed any concerns I had as this was to be my first time in Colorado. First and foremost, the pictures do not do this property justice. It is a lot more spacious than it seems. The cabin felt like a nicely appointed suburban home with its interior design and decor. You really feel at home in a far away place but at the same time you know you're in a cabin vacationing in the Colorado Rockies. For a group of 10, this would be the ideal place you're looking for! Vehicle recommended.

We have just stayed here once, but will be staying about 5 more times over Winter. It is a very comforting, lovely home and look forward to our visits every time. We have 3 little boys and they love it too! We haven't tried the ski in/ski out yet, but plan too this weekend. Alan is also a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

Great location for intermediate skiers but not for beginners

Guest: Midwest Skier (St. Louis, MO)
Date of Stay: 02/24/11 Review Submitted: 05/15/11

This property was wonderful. It even came with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, which was perfect for those cold mornings. The master bedroom was amazing and the bathroom was huge! The property was plenty big for 7 adults - the pictures are accurate representations of the property. The location was great for most of us, but we had some beginning skiers who had to ski down to the base of the mountain and take a cab back up. I would not recommend the property if you are a beginner - the walk back up is uphill and although doable, not very fun if you have to carry your skis and it has snowed recently. The property is perfect for intermediate to expert skiers, except the "easier" run back (Cimaron) closed at 3 every day. So we had to go down and walk back up a little bit. Skiing through the trees was a lot of fun, but be sure to look for WM on the trees to find your way back! The description listed by the owners is accurate - it is definitely a ski-out (just across the street is access) and the ski-in is really for intermediate to experts. I would also recommend an SUV in the winter - the driveway is steep and our small car could not get up the driveway, even though it was plowed. There was just too much snow! The neighbors were very helpful when our small car got stuck! If you are an intermediate to expert skier, I would definitely recommend this property. The Cimaron run is definitely an "enjoyable black," and we found it to be one of the easiest black runs on the mountain.

Friendly Ski Trip (8 people)

Guest: Matt (Austin, TX)
Date of Stay: 03/02/11 Review Submitted: 04/19/11

Myself and 7 friends took a ski Trip to Breckenridge in March and stayed at this property. We were very pleased with the size and location of the house. It was very close to Downtown and while we didn't utilize the ski in/out hills, it was less than a mile drive to the slopes. Overall we had excellent time and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home.
