The cabin was great, except the last 3 miles to the cabin are very dangerous to travel. Yes, we went during snow and icy conditions and the owners can't help the weather, however, it was not publicized how dangerous the road is getting to the cabin. You MUST go with a 4-wheel drive vehicle (even with snow chains during snow and icy conditions, it is very dangerous). In summer, we were told by locals, if it rains, it is very difficult to get to the cabin. It is dangerous when two vehicles meet each other, as it is a very narrow road. Locals told us some travelers last year went over the side of the mountain road and died. Luckily, we found a local to take us up in 4 trips and paid him $200, but it was still very difficult and dangerous. We were stuck in the cabin for four days and then walked out to buy snow chains. With the snow chains, we still had several close calls getting out on our last day. Another neighboring cabin to this one had a family that had to leave their Expedition hanging off the side of the mountain and a close-by neighbor took them up on a 4-wheeler. A wrecker was called to pull their Expedition out and they had to rent a Jeep in town to travel back and forth. In addition to the dangerous road, it was Christmas and there were no Christmas decorations in the cabin, as advertised in a picture. The hot tub was not cleaned between occupants because the water was cloudy and seats were slimy. The owners were not sympathetic to our concerns and stated to read out contract...4-wheel drive and snow chains. Other cabin rental agencies told us they moved occupants' arrival dates back, if possible, or gave them a refund. Even though the cabin itself was great, we will NOT be returning and would NOT recommend it to others.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

About the owner: Our Family has lived in the Smoky Mountains for most of our lives and used to visit Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for the last 40+ years. We have selected the Best location and put all of the amenities in our cabin that we looked for in cabins that we stayed in over the years. We hope that you find this the BEST experience you have ever had in the Smoky Mountains and come back year after year. If you find that there is something else that this cabin needs and we have room for it, please let us know. We want this to be the best cabin in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountains!
Why the Owner Chose Pigeon Forge:
We selected this cabin because of its mostly private location with virtually no traffic and awesome mountain and valley view (safe for the kids to play in the area without worrying about traffic). Yet, you are only 1.8 miles off the main road which leads to the main strip in Pigeon Forge, and yet you can get to all other areas and bypass Pigeon Forge Traffic if you like. We have stocked it with every amenity that we can think of for adults and kids alike.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
I can get up in the morning and get the most incredible and PEACEFUL feeling. So QUIET! Maybe some fog down in the valley, The sun rising over the mountain, a Steaming Cup of coffee in my hands sitting in a rocking chair on one of the decks. Total Relaxation! If I never leave the cabin to go to see the area attractions, there is more than enough! Just inside is all the amenities that we could think of, much more than in our house that we live in. Or, if we want to pop into town, it is very convenient to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Cades Cove, with low traffic roads to all areas.
