The décor is an eclectic mix of the classics and the contemporary. The striking hardwood floors are original 19th century parquet.
With its east–west facing windows, the salon / dining room and bedrooms are drenched with natural light. The modern kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, coffee machine, etc), and the bathrooms feature an open waterfall shower as well as a traditional shower.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 2
We are a young American / French family and we met & fell in love in the City of Light. We knew that Paris would always be the center of gravity for us, and so we decided to buy a classic Hausmann apartment in the neighborhood where we lived for nearly four years. The Montorgueil "quarter" is where real Parisiens live, shop and eat! This is where many people come to experience authentic Parisien living. It is so centrally located straddling the Marais/Pompidou to the east, Eglise Saint-Eustache/Place de Victoires to the west, and Hotel de Ville / Notre Dame to the south. The neighborhood is filled with great restaurants of all kinds and boasts many boutique stores for everything from jewelry, clothing and house wares. A must is a visit to the Passage de Grand Cerf! You will not be disappointed!

Our three generational family of four loved every minute of our stay in this perfect apartment! We found ourselves centrally located in an apartment that was just as described, and positively immaculate. My husband arrived earlier than expected, and was graciously greeted by the owner. We have now had a series of very positive VRBO experiences. I would not only recommend this apartment without hesitation, I hope to be able to stay here again. Five or ten minute walk to Notre Dame, a brief stroll to see the Eiffel Tower illuminated at dusk, nearby restaurants and patisseries, Metro at our door; it doesn't get much better than this. Paris to perfection! Thank you Catherine and Jim.

This was my family's third stay in an apartment found on VRBO.com. All, including this rental, were excellent, and places we would LOVE to rent again. Things we appreciated about this rental: artwork (!), interior design was elegant and functional. Architectural elements - including ADORABLE petit sink the the toilette closet. Modern kitchen appliances. Showers' size, water pressure and temp. VERY comfortable beds and bedding. -We slept better than at home! Apartment is bright and breezy throughout. Proximity to subway & bus - just outside front door!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers.
