Luxurious Cottage in Prime Carmel Location (4 Blocks to Beach)

  I have stayed in Carmel a number of times but this was absolutely the cutest house I have stayed in. It was decorated beautifully, had everything I needed and was close to the shopping, restaurants and the beach. The house has a giant yard with a large deck overlooking the forest and was so peaceful. I love birds and with the house being adjacent to Del Monte Forest and Pescadero Canyon I saw so many birds and even some deer. Yet it is only four blocks from Ocean Ave where my favorite restaurants are. There is a pathway three houses down the street that leads directly to Carmel Beach and is 5 minutes walking distance. I think it is only 3 or 4 blocks. The house is a cute quaint cottage on the outside but must have been recently remodeled as the inside is luxurious and comfortable. I left my window open at night and heard the waves crashing on the beach. They have the same stove top espresso maker that I have at home and coffee on the deck in the mornings was great. They had bikes that we rode on 17 mile drive several days. It is free to go in the Pebble Beach Gate if you are on your bike and this road goes by the Pebble Beach Golf course and many beaches and is one of the most beautiful bike ride you will ever do. The drivers must be use to the bikers as they are careful and drive by you slowly. The ride starts at the Gate which is a stones throw from the house. We are not golfers but if we were it would have been a great location for that. Be sure to try Casanovas Restaurant, Mission Ranch which Clint Eastwood owns, Tommy's Wok and Demetre Cafe. Those are now my favorite restaurants in Carmel. Greg, who owns the house was very accommodating.

  You will not be disappointed! We can't say enough great things about this property. It's situated in a prime location within walking distance of just about everything in Carmel. It's clean, comfortable, quiet & private. The interior is well furnished. The bed is comfortable and the linens and towels are quite nice. Despite its wooded location; it’s very bright in the afternoon sunshine. We’ve spent many nights walking down to the beach to watch the sunset. The beach is just a short walk and you definitely can hear the crashing ocean waves from the cottage in the evenings. We've been jogging along Scenic Dr. daily. We were fortunate to be staying here during the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The pedestrian gate located near the 11-hole is just a few blocks away. It’s great to be able to walk back and forth from the golf course and not use a shuttle. We initially booked this property for the 1st month of a 3 month stay on the Monterey Peninsula. We have another property rental in Pebble Beach for the remaining 60-days, but after enjoying this property as much as we have, we certainly would have preferred to stay here the full 3 months. The owner has been very pleasant and accommodating.

  I lived in this cottage for several months and had an absolutely wonderful experience. It is set off from the other homes making it very private and it truly is a short walk to town and the beach. I most enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the ocean. Very clean and cozy. A bonus - the neighbors on the street are incredibly friendly. Owners are very friendly.
