Love to travel. Love to stay in Central Oregon at our cabin and at Gearhart at the beach. Family is at University of Oregon in Eugene and Lincoln High School in Portland Oregon. Making great family memories.
Why the Owner Chose Gearhart
Grew up in nearby historic town of Astoria Oregon which is 15 minutes away. Gearhart is 90 minutes from Portland and 3.5/4 hours from Seattle. Love nearby Cannon Beach which has horseback riding, beach go-karts, surfing. Historic museums in Astoria with Fort Clatsop where Lewis and Clark stayed is nearby. Many fantastic restaurants in the area. Nearby Seaside provides kids with bike rentals, bumper cars, arcades and salt water taffy.
Both nearby Astoria and Cannon Beach have live theatre.

We had a great time staying here. My family, 15 of us, stayed two nights. We had 8 adults and 7 children ages 2 thru 9. The house was kid friendly with large comfortable rooms for everyone. The location here is great and a short distance to everything.

Each year we (2 foster homes) for people with disabilities) take our residents on an annual trip. We typically search for homes that are handicap accessible. Over the last 7 years of making these trips this was by far the best home we have stayed in. This 3 level house is an extremely nice house and very accessible for people with disabilities. The elevator made it easy to access the entire house, including bedrooms and bathroom/shower that are wheelchair accessible. Thus allowing the clients and us to enjoy the vacation and the house without worry on how we or they would get up and down the stairs. The house has an amazing view of the river nearby and is within a 5 minute drive to the beach. Vehicle access to drive onto the beach is nearby in Gearhart. We will definitely be looking to stay here again and would highly recommend this house for people who are looking for handicap accessible housing as well as for anyone looking for a nice house to stay with plenty of room.

We all gathered from Pittsburgh, PA, Fredricksburg, VA, Boise, ID and La Grande, OR for a family reunion. We had no problem finding the home. We were pleasently surprised when we entered the home to see so much space. The Kitchen, dinning area and family room with the vaulted sealing is fantastic. Plenty of room for a large family like ours. Everything clean and neat. Starting with the master bedroom, which is huge and well appointed, all the bedrooms and bathrooms made you feel at home with room to spare --- no waiting in line for a bathroom. The home is tucked back in and mostly surrounded by trees for a real private & secluded feeling --- a great deck with gas grill also a neat fire pit for hot dog roasts. It is close to a wonderful beach. We had a wonderful time. When we go back to the Oregon Coast we will want the same home. Rae

I thought the house was wonderful and very well equipped -- It suited out group of 16 well. We have been having these get aways for many years and this one was one of the best. Would be agreeable to using it again next year.

Our company utilized this property for a company retreat and were very pleased. It provided the privacy & quiet we needed. The owner was extremely helpful with our questions & concerns. The photos & descriptions are accurate. The property is extremely clean, well maintained and everything is new and modern. We cooked all of our meals there, grilled and even had bonfires each night. The kitchen provided everything we needed & there is a large table that 11 people were able to eat around. I would highly recommend this property.

The property and home in Gearhart was wonderfully described and once we arrived the home was GREAT! The gourmet kitchen was a delight . Easy to find dishes and so many extras. The home surpassed our expectation. The home handled 15 ladies. We had a great time and will be back for sure. Gearhart is a charming town. Easy to get around and has everything one needs within 5 minute walk. Thank you to the owners for sharing your home.

This weekend consisted of a group of 16 women. The house was spotless, very well furnished and equipped, including linens, cooking utensils, dishes, flat ware and glassware. Would like to have had it on the beach but it had a "forest" feeling. We used couches plus a blow up bed as the double beds in the bunk room were too small to sleep two but would be great for two children. Great fire pit in front and nice deck in back which made me a little nervous with no railing and a substantial drop-off. Overall I would recommend this property to friends and family.

We stayed here for a school trip and had a fabulous time. We rented two houses, with 15 people staying in each, although in retrospect, we really only needed this one house since it was so large and comfortable. The common areas were spacious and inviting, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. There were four bikes to borrow, and a fun firepit for entertaining at night. The house was a five minute walk to the beach, which was perfect for us. We can't wait to return again!

This home is a 6 star home!! There were 13 of us, and we were very comfortable all weekend. Plenty of space, private as well as group. The kitchen was spectacular!! The fire pit was the perfect setting for smores and girl talk. This is an ideal home for family reunions. I can't wait to come back. I will and have highly recommend this house to ANY group. This is a wonderful house - so much better then I was expecting. The kitchen was great to cook in, with top of the line appliances and cooking equipment. The great room is very cozy with a gas fireplace that put out mega heat. With three levels, you can really spread out the sleeping areas. The downstairs is huge - great place for the teens, with a big TV and large bunk room. The elevevator is a nice touch. Our daughter just had surgery on her foot and was on crutches, so very nice to have. The master bedroom is to die for and the bathroom - wow!!! We will definately stay at this house again and refer it to other people. Thanks so much
