This 5 bedroom/5 bath home is located on what is called "Ice Box" hill near the Historic area of Mazatlan. We have ocean views throughout the house and it is a 200 to 300 foot walk to the Malecon that runs along the Pacific Ocean shoreline. You can see the infamous "Cliff Divers" from the patio. There is a swimming pool with Jacuzzi jets and it overlooks the Ocean.
The house is spacious with 5,000 square feet and has all the amenities of your home. The house was totally remodeled from top to bottom during the last year. All the furniture, beds, linens, cookware, dishes, glasses, etc. are brand new. We have a water purification system that runs pure water throughout the house, so you don't have to worry about "drinking the water". We have Star Choice Satellite TV with over 200 channels including local channels in the U.S. and Canada. This is also our home and not just a rental, so we keep it in immaculate condition.
The location of the property is ideal. It is located in a very secure upper-class area of Mazatlan. It is a 10 minute walk to the Plaza Machado in the Historic District and a 10 minute walk to the Central Market and Cathedral. If you want to go to the resort area (Golden Zone), you can catch a Pulmonia in a 1 minute walk from the house.

Why the Owner Chose Mazatlan
First of all, it is not just a vacation rental. It is our home. We rent it out periodically when we are not there. It is not a full time rental. We decided on Mazatlan as there is not another Mexico city that has the benefits this City has to offer. It is has a wonderful Historic area with great restaurants and entertainment; a resort area with great night-life; 16 miles of sandy beaches for swimming, boogie boarding and surfing; great medical and dental care (cheap too!); and all the amenities you are used to (Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Office Depot).
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love our home due to the 180 degree view of the Pacific Ocean and the fabulous sunsets. There are very few homes in Mazatlan that have the view and the location that this property has. It is located in an upper-class section of Mazatlan with other very nice homes. It is a 1 minute walk to the Ocean and the Cliff Divers and a 10 minute walk to the Historic area and the Central Market. We can sit in the pool with a drink overlooking the Ocean and watching the fabulous Mazatlan sunsets. Once you come as see the view, you will want to return.

Owners Mike Morris and wife Liz alternate their time between their homes in Mazatlan and Walla Walla, Washington. We have been either living in or coming to Mazatlan for several years and absolutely love it here. This house is not just a rental, it is our home. We have totally remodeled the home over the last two years from top to bottom, so it is like new. We wish we could spend more time in Mazatlan and eventually will. We are both semi-retired and try to stay busy with various business ventures.

The pictures of your home and your description really don't do it justice. The house is huge and so beautiful. The Kitchen/Dining/Living Room area is enormous and the view of the Ocean from this area is awesome. Although there were great restaurants located nearby, we enjoyed cooking and sitting out on the patio watching the great sunsets. I would love to have your kitchen in my home. There was just about everything you would have in your kitchen at home, except I would have liked a toaster. Other than that - perfect! The kids enjoyed the big screen TV and watching your DVD movies, while my husband was able to tune into his favorite games. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. In the mornings, my husband and I loved stepping outside of the bedroom onto the patio and watching the ocean and hearing the waves crash on the shoreline. We appreciated you arranging a maid while we were there and she did a fantastic job. I can't believe it only costs about $20 for the day. She did cook dinner for us one evening and it ranked right up there with one of the best Mexican dinners we ever had. Being computer nerds, we all had our own laptops, so didn't use your computer. It was really nice to be able to wander all around the house and have a good wireless signal. We spent the most time down at the pool. It was so relaxing just sitting there reading and looking out to the Ocean every so often. The pool bench seat with the jacuzzi jets was a really nice touch. Thanks again for everything and we hope to be back one of these days.
