  Beautiful location, right on beach with a nice dock. Unfortunate that our overall experience was less that expected. No curtains on bedroom windows, so felt uncomfortable with lack of privacy. House is small and furniture, including beds, is uncomfortable. Profile indicates "TV (no cable and no satellite)," but it doesn't clearly state NO TV SERVICE WHATSOEVER, even broadcast. We are BIG football fans and missed two nationally televised games that were important to us the weekend we visited because we didn't specifically ask the right questions before booking and felt the property description was misleading (hard to believe owner hasn't had this issue with visitors before) It just didn't occur to us that a property in a well developed, populated area would not have basic television service. This would have affected our decision on when to visit had it been clear, and really discolored our whole experience. We will not assume what we consider basic services in our future use of VRBO properties! Stairs are a bit of a problem for elderly. Fishing was good, though and the master bedroom overlooks the beach. Would recommend for a couple that wants to get away from it all without all the creature comforts and enjoys light fishing/crabbing, but we won't be visiting again.

  We had a wonderful stay in this fantastic house! Special thanks to Capt. Lenny & his family for sharing their rental. The downstairs area was so relaxing. Especially loved the outdoor shower. The pier was the bomb...GREAT fishing. The crabs that we caught made for a delish supper. I feel in love with the baby dolls in the house. Kitchen was set up perfectly. The views, oh my goodness, I want to live there. We can not stop talking about going back.

• Perfectly Secluded!

  Listing description very accurate. The only thing you need to bring is clothes and food! There are tons of great games, music and movies; not to mention the kayaks and volley ball net... Catching our own crabs was the BEST. There is no need to leave the property, but there are a couple of grocery stores nearby should you need them. The houses on this road are scattered leaving it very quiet. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful over the ocean. We had a two year old and a 76 year old enjoying this rental with us and all had a good time! Great Get-a-way!

• Just Right

  My family visited the last week in July 2010. Oil spill "cleanup" was ongoing and the temperature was ridiculously hot every day, but we had a great trip in spite of those challenges. We loved the seclusion, our own beach access right out the front door, and the house, itself. Everything was as advertised and photos were representative. The house was well maintained and attractively furnished. I especially loved the early morning and late night fishing opportunities right at the bottom of the steps. The ban on keeping any fish was lifted with just a couple days left in our stay and I am, at best, a novice saltwater angler. But we were still able to fire up the grill and savor the FRESHEST redfish and flounder possible. The crabs I caught just playing around in the surf in the evening were the tastiest I think I've ever eaten. With the oppressive heat, we really didn't have any desire to run here and there being tourists because we had everything we wanted on site. In fact, we didn't want to leave the property during our stay or, especially, when it was over. I recommend it for the seclusion, sunrise and sunset views, beach, fishing, swimming and kayaking, and fun and relaxation it offers. Thanks Captain Lenny, we hope to visit again soon.

  We had a fabulous time. It was very relaxing on the beach. Captain Lenny was very nice and helpful and accomodating. We stayed for the weekend and wished it could have been longer. We will definitely return for several more visits.

  This house was very nice. My family and I had such a wonderful relaxing vacation. It is very close to Biloxi, Gulfport and even New Orleans. Captain Lenny, the owner was very nice and helpful. The pictures on this site are very accurate. This is the first time my family has ever talked about returning to a vacation spot. We loved it!!!!
