Year Purchased: 2009
Richard and Louise are proud owners of this gorgeous property located in paradise. Richard is a contractor/consultant and Louise is a teacher. They and their children use these facilities when and as often as they can. Richard and Louise plan to spend their winter season there when they retire in a few years.
When in Naples Richard enjoys making improvements to the unit and spending time at the beach with his daughters and grandkids when he can.
Why the Owner Chose Wiggins Lake
My wife and I are proud to offer this great condo unit located in a relatively new and very quiet area, close to the ocean with large green spaces located adjacent to the Wiggins Lakes Preserves, and very close to the Delnor Wiggins State Park. This ideal location close to so many quality restaurants with easy access to major thoroughfares is our dream location for our retirement years. The condo project itself is small with only 212 units, with a large amount of full time residents who make sure that the condo common areas are well maintained and that the area remains safe and personable.
We chose this location because it is close to major beaches and is centrally located. It is also very close to the Fort Myers airport and within an easy drive from Sarasota, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Miami airports. We chose this unit because it is a water front unit with a great view, it has a great layout including cathedral ceilings and a garage. The fact that the bedrooms are not close to each other and that the unit has its own laudry facilities were also great pluses.
We chose this condo complex because it is small, well managed and close to the beaches and other Naples area facilities and because there are many full time residents who ensure that the complex remains safe and well taken care of.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We enjoy our morning coffee and breakfast on the lanai overlooking the lake, while we listen to and watch the small animals including turtles, fish, ducks, and other waterfowl. The condo unit is so spacious that we feel so lucky to have found such a jewel. We upgraded the AC system, replaced outdated appliances, remodeled the unit with granite counters and painted the unit with great coloring and redecorated.

My wife and I rented this condo for the month of March 2011 and certainly chose the right condo and location for us! The unit was as clean and spacious as advertised and contained all the amenities one could ask for. It was great to sit on the screened in lanai overlooking the lake and the fountain and enjoy our morning coffee. The location was perfect for us as we are beach people and were minutes from the beach, restaurants and shopping. The owner provided all information as to use of internet, cable TV, DVD player and included names of nearby restaurants (with telephone numbers), etc. We would most definitely rent this unit again in the future and recommend this property to others.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

In December 2010, my husband and I spent 10 days in Naples. We loved the appartment. It was very clean and spacious, nicely furnished, quiet and greatly located (grocery stores, restaurants, malls). You will find in the kitchen everything you may need should you decide to cook dinner instead of eating out at one of the many restaurants in the vicinity. There is a large veranda, completely screened to enjoy a view of the lake, have a bite to eat or just read a good book. We also liked the fact that the appartment is located just a few minutes from the beach even if we could only go twice during our stay. We will definitley go again to this appartment in Wiggins Lakes and Preserves our next time in Florida.
Owner response:Thanks Lucie for such a good review of the unit. Since December Ihave also had the occasion to spend a few weeks there with my daughter and grandson and enjoyed it very much. I took the opportunity to continue our improvements to the unit by replacing the kitchen and counter furniture with new rattan pieces and to replace the double bed with two single beds with better mattresses. This will make the unit even better and more comforatable then it was, even if it was already great. I also took the time to enjoy my grandson and the pool which was at 87 degrees at the time due to the great winter temparatures and sunshine.

Wiggins Lakes & Preserves is perfectly sited for North Naples/Bonita Springs. The condo is clean and spacious - my partner was particularly thrilled with her walk-in closet! Fixtures and fittings are all in good condition and there is virtually everything you need for a short or medium stay. The one or two things we did miss were probably due to us being British (we like our tea-pots!). The owner (who was residing in a nearby condo when we stayed) was very friendly and helpful. If I have one negative comment (and it's the only one I have) it's that the pools were a little cool - OK to swim in, but only just. I did mention this to the pool attendent. But overall - highly recommended.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We spent the month of February 2010 at this lovely condo in Wiggins Lake. It was very neat, clean and spacious. It is located very close to great shopping and many fine resturants. It was also very close to the beach. The people we met at the pool were from all over the U.S. and very friendly. The owners were great to work with and we look forward to returning next year.
