Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2005
I am the developer of the the project and I built these high quality timber frame homes to have a warm and inviting feeling. I chose the location because the land looks over open space with a beautiful creek running in front of the homes so the views are spectacular and private.
Why the Owner Chose Meadow Village
I choose this location because the land backs up to open space and looks over a beautiful creek running in front of the homes. The location is a short walk to the village center and is located on the shuttle route. Most importantly the location is a short ski to the White Otter lift so as to be able to ski into the village from the home as well as ski back to the homes at the end of the day. There is all sorts of wildlife surrounding the home and open space. There are many trails that are right out the back door of the home which makes for wonderful snow shoeing, cross country, skiing, sledding and hiking.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The home is a short walk to the village center as well as being on the shuttle route. The home is a short ski to the White Otter lift to take you to the village center and main lift area. There are many trails connecting to the location. In addition the home is a very short walk to the famous Black Bear Bar & Grille, voted top 10 local ski bars by Skiing magazine 08.

Great stay over 2010/11 New Year's

Myself and family (2 adults/2 kids) shared the house with another family of 2 adults, 1 kid and an infant. What a beautiful house - the photo's really don't do it justice, great kitchen and family room with a lovely fireplace - the master bedroom is enormous with 2 other good sized bedrooms upstairs and a little smaller bedroom downstairs. 3 bathrooms mean everyone has plenty of privacy and there's lots of storage and a good mud room for ski clothing and boots etc. The location is great - short drive (2 minutes) to the centre of the resort yet lovely and peaceful with great views from the hot tub. The only thing that stops me from rating this as excellent is that it's not really ski-out. The walk to where you can put your skis on is about 200-250 yards - and the short ski trail down to the White Otter lift involves some poling/walking/sidestepping uphill. It's not a huge deal for an adult but can be a bit of a pain if you have small kids and believed that it was truly ski-out as the posting states. The ski bus stop is right outside the development so that may be an easier option if you have small kids who don't walk too well in ski gear etc. The ski-in run is nice and easy and fine for beginners up. Apart from that I doubt you can get a better place to stay for the money - really lovely house and ambiance.
