We spent several days at this house over Spring Break at a getaway with the grandparents. This house has a fantastic location. Right in the middle of Amish country but still very close to Lancaster and a quick drive to Hershey. The house had plenty of room for us all and had a nice layout. The house itself could use some minor updates, but overall clean and accommodating. My parents thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the beautiful farmlands and watching the horse & buggies go up and down the road. The children really enjoyed their time in the backyard on the playset and playing tetherball and downstairs playing foosball. Would definitely stay here again!

This was such a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the countryside. We were right in the middle of the Amish Community, and the children enjoyed the back yard with the cows coming right up to the fence. The house was well furnished and very clean. Everyone had a wonderful time and we were not cramped in the living quarters at all. There were 9 of us and the children loved the basement with the toys.

My husband & I & a couple of friends with 2 teenagers stayed at this beautiful home in Amish country. We were all so pleased with how pretty & clean this house is: exactly as what you see in the pictures! The owners were so wonderful & replied to all of our questions. I told my husband, as soon as we checked out the home, "Ok, that's it- I'm moving into this house for good! Everyone felt right at home; so peaceful. Everything they claim was available to us was provided & more !! It was my husband's birthday & we took him to Sight & Sounds Millenium Theatre to see the play "Jonah & the Whale" ! It was awesome- after that we all went to the restaurant "Sugar Maples" which was buffet style & fantastic food !!!! Good & Plenty Restaurant was exactly that! My husband & I have always wanted to stay on an Amish farm/property and it was like a dream come true! I can't say enough about our wonderful experience except that we will definitely be back- you can count on that! Thanks so much for your kindness!

This house was great for our Christmas family reunion. The basement, stocked with toys, was a great place to send the little kids while the adults socialized on the main floor. Nice shopping available nearby to pick up last minute Christmas gifts. The home was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils for our extensive amount of holiday cooking. The expandable dining room table was a must for our meals as a family of thirteen people. I can imagine the tetherball pole outside would be great fun in warmer months. The kids did get out and play in the nice little play set and sandbox for a short time even though it was very cold out.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in this vacation home. The home was clean and spacious. There are so many great activities to do close by; the house is in the perfect location. We had a little problem with the water, but the owners were right over to fixed everything. They were kind and very helpful and the situation was resolved immediately. All of the kids loved the playroom downstairs and the play area outside. It was great to have a place to call home while we were on our vacation.

My husband and I rented the Harvest Drive Guest House for the first time this August 2011. We went with 4 others from our family. We are not new to Lancaster we are there at least 4 or 5 times a year. The house was nice. The size was great, enough room for everyone to have their own space. My grandsons loved the back yard. We were a little disapointed that there was no dishwasher and also no end tables in the living room or in the bedrooms. But for the most part it was great and we look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I rented this lovely home, so that, our children and grandchildren could all get together for a relaxing time away from everything and just relax. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home and we really enjoyed the area. Sitting on the front porch was relaxing and we saw many amish buggies go by. We met your lovely parents also. We would recommend this home to our friends. Thank you again and look forward to using it again in the future. We appreciated the bedroom on the first floor as stairs are very hard for me, having difficulty with my legs.

Our family of 12 people (6 adults, 6 kids) stayed here for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house had plenty of room for everyone. The basement playroom was great for the kids (and the adults) to have their own space. All of the rooms had tasteful and modern furnishings and the central A/C and ceiling fans were great to have during the hot days. The description of the house says that it is right in the middle of Amish country and this is no exaggeration! The huge backyard is adjacent to a farm and a couple of Amish children who live nearby came over to play with our kids. We were within 15 minutes to many of the area attractions including Dutch Wonderland, Strasburg RR, and stores and restaurants in Lancaster. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

We had so much fun, laughing, playing, eating, and celebrating as a family. The advertisement was true to its word. The house is beautiful and clean. The Kitchen was large and comfortable. We had enough dishes and utensils to use to feed our family. We had a choice to eat outside on a picnic table or inside on a large family table that seated 15 comfortablely. You could cook on a stove or use their gas grill. If the weather was rainy or too hot, the children had a game room downstairs where they could play or hangout. My sister is planning to reserve this place for next year because they enjoyed their stay so much. We would definitely recommend this house for a weekend or a week. You will have no regrets.

Thank you so much for opening your home to our family. We had such a wonderful time hanging out with each other! We all took time to relax on the front porch watching the horse and buggies go by and the kids loved the fact that the cows came so close they could talk to them. It is such a beautiful home, very peaceful, and so much more than we expected - none of us wanted to leave. As stated it is very close to many attractions, and we learned so much about the area, the culture and enjoyed a tour of a farm on a buggy ride and had a wonderful meal at Stolzfus Family Restaurant. These are memories that none of us are going to forget any time soon - and as my youngest son said - "we are going back right!" I thank you again from all of us and look forward to being able to stay again soon!

Our stay at this beautiful house was wonderful! The listing was right on. There was more than enough room for our family get together. The basement playroom was perfect for the children to hang out in. We enjoyed the view of the neighboring farms, daily hot air balloons, and quiet of the country. One of the favorite activities was going on Strasburg Raiload and spending the afternoon at Cherry Crest Farms.

Our family had a wonderful time during our vacation to your lovely guest house. It was magical to see the red sunset in the evenings surrounded by the tiny flickering glow of the fireflies. The children enjoyed playing tetherball in the backyard before settling down to make s'mores in the firepit. The area was so quiet and relaxing. It was wonderful to be nestled amongst the Amish farms away from the "tourist" trap areas. We stopped to visit Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, & Chocolate World within an hour drive. We also had fun roaming the corn maze at Cherry Crest Farm just 10 minutes away! Outlet shopping was close and plentiful! Thanks for having us!

Stayed here with 3 other families. Clean, beautiful home with plenty of room. We used this as our base of operations for our American History field trip. Centrally located to everywhere we wanted to visit...Gettysburg, Hershey, Philadelphia, and of course, the Amish country. Loved having the cows right over the fence in the backyard and visiting with the horses down the road on our walk to downtown Intercourse. I think just as many buggies as cars passed in front of the house.

My family and I stayed in this house for ten days. We couldn't wish for anything better. The house was very clean when we moved in. They had ready a lot of towels and linen which were all nice and clean. Whenever we had any questions they were always there to assist us. The view was wonderful. The lawn in the back was so huge my kids loved them, we couldn't get them in to eat or go to bed because they just loved being on the lawn. The front lawn was also nice, big and super clean. Over all it was one of the best local vacations we all ever had!!! Thank you very much, we will definitely return.

The house was beautiful, well appointed, comfortable, and charming. The house was fully equipped with linens, pillows, blankets and bottled water. Our children and grandchildren loved the roomy house, toys, games, back yard, and location of the house. There are many activities suited for all ages. We chose the Pretzel Factory, Plain and Fancy farm and restaurant, which is where we had a fabulous Thanksgiving Day dinner. We had a wonderful tour of the farm and everyone loved holding the baby chicks and feeding the horses. We highly recommend this property and will definitely return with family and friends. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this home in the heart of Lancaster County along with friends who used to live in that community. It was great for them to be back "home" and great for us to be with them again in a family setting and enjoy the countryside we have to come to love also. We all had our own privacy, yet enjoyed being together at breakfast and in the evenings. The house is very spacious, comfortable, and clean and we enjoyed the extras the house afforded. We will definately keep this house on our list for future visits!!!

We chose the week of Oct. 16th -Oct.24th to visit and stay in the Harvest Drive Guest House for the very first time but it won't be the last time. It is centrally located to all the Amish attractions as well as Hershey. PA, Train Museum, Outlet Mall, etc. but we were just as happy to take time every day to watch the sunrise, cows graze at the back, hot air balloons going over and harvesting activities at the farms around us. It is beautiful country, quiet and relaxing atmosphere and a comfortable home away from home. There were no complaints and everyone of our party of eight looks forward to renting this vacation home again. Thanks for the opportunity to stay in this lovely home. From the Coast of Virginia.

The house was very spacious and we really enjoyed our stay. The good things about the house: - Lots of space to sleep (6 beds, a pull out sofa, and a large comfy couch in the basement) - A big table for our whole group to sit down around (10 of us with room to spare) - Accommodating home owners. The first night we were there the DVD player wasn't working. We called the owners and the next day they brought a new one over. There response was quick and friendly. - A big kitchen - A big backyard - The house is on a very quiet street - My security deposit was promptly returned The things that I would want to know before I rented: - The flooring in the kitchen is pretty rough and needs to be replaced - There is no dishwasher in the kitchen - We killed a lot of flies. We were in the country but the flies made their presence felt - The house is right on a street that is lightly traveled but if I had my kids with me I would not let them be in the front yard because people were going pretty fast down that street. - The closest grocery store is 22 minutes away (Shady Maple Farm Market) I would definitely stay at this house again and I strongly recommend it.
Owner response:The flooring in the kitchen, laundry room, and 3 of the bedrooms has just been replaced as of 1/2011. The closest grocery store is actually Zimmermans (5 minutes away) in the Village of Intercourse, PA.

We enjoyed the tether ball, butterfly garden, sandbox, campfire, and climbing tree in the backyard. Couples enjoyed the swing on the front porch. This location is great! I hope to return. God really blessed us through you and your family. One of our families went to the "Joseph" show. I have seen it twice. Steve has seen it once. Our family of # 11 totally enjoyed this Harvest Drive Guest House. It was very clean, with plenty of room. We loved playing tether ball, playing in the sand, swinging in the swing set, climbing the tree in the backyard, making s'mores at the campfire, sitting around the picnic table, looking at the butterfly garden, and swinging on the front porch. It was great fun to play in the basement! This location is very close to Dutch Wonderland, Sight-Sound Theater, and Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. We highly recommend Deener's Restaurant nearby. The large table, in the dining room, was very adequate for family meals. I have already recommended this guest home to family and friends. We hope to return.

The Harvest Drive Guest House is an amazing place to stay for relaxation and the beautiful scenery from the porch and backyard. The pictures certainly show what you will find when you arrive. Spacious rooms and large enough to accomodate large families. Children will love the playset in the back and the finished basement that has many toys to occupy them. The house is centrally located to Kettle Kitchen and Intercourse Village and to Rte 30...Dutch Wonderland and the outlets. The Family Cupboard on Rte 340, Plain and Fancy on Rte 896 and Dienners on Rte 30 are great restaurants to try while visiting. The Children loved the Intercourse Pretzel Factory where they got to twist their own pretzels and also loved visiting Lapps Dairy Farm where they got to see the cows up close and taste great homemade ice cream. The Esh Famiy couldn't have been nicer to us....their vacation home is really worth the trip to Pennsylvania. We had a cpncern that was promptly rectified and would certainly return and recommend to our family and friends. Great Place!!!!!!

This house was as described and pictured. It was clean, comfortable, and roomy. The Esh family is so nice - in email, on the phone, and in person. The home is located on a quiet street with farms behind and across the road. It was nice to hear the clip-clop of the horses traveling along the road. It is out of the congestion of Lancaster, but a quick drive to all of the attractions. Our 4 children, ages 4 to 17, enjoyed the swingset, sandbox, tetherball, hammock. I enjoyed the beautiful flowers in the yard. The younger two also enjoyed the toys in the basement. The kitchen had everything we needed. It also has wireless internet. The decorating made it feel like a home, not just a house. We saw "Joseph" at the Sight and Sound Theater (highly recommended) and went to Dutch Wonderland (perfect for children 3-8, but our older two enjoyed it as well. Check out their "preview" special and their rainy day guarantee.). We also enjoyed Kitchen Kettle where we had Lapp's ice cream - yum! The Strasburg Railroad is also good, though we didn't make it there this trip. I highly recommend this home and would stay here again.

Yes, all 13 females aging from 40 to 85, totally enjoyed the Harvest Drive Guest House. Pictures and info from Krissy was exactly as stated. The house is located in an area close to all we wanted to see and do. We saw "Joseph" at the Millinium Theatre, we visited Hershey, we rode through the country side seeing the Amish farms, tasted homemade apple cider, went to the farmer's market, found the covered bridges in the area, went to yard sales, and shopped in nearby stores. Krissy's father came by shortly after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a pleasant visit with her grandmother who shared "good to know things" about the area. Learning all the roads connected to 2 parallel roads (Hwy30 & Hwy340) helped us a bunch. The scenery was absolutely so peaceful. We could see the cows grazing the day long, the farmers plowing the fields, the horse and buggys going up and down the road. It was nice. We all were so amazed at how well groomed and manicured the yards and fields were in the area. The green grass and flowers were beautiful. The house was so roomy. The 3 bathrooms were just what we needed with 13 people. My 96 year aunt who had planned to go with us, fell and broke her hip. Unfortunately she did not get to go, however, the house accessablity would have been fine with only one step to enter into the house. I have already recommended to our UPS man who comes to my work place as this being a wonderful place to stay. He, too, wants to visit this area and see the "Joseph" drama. Thank you for sharing your guest house with us. Evon in Roxboro, NC and our May Trip gang

This place was perfect if you want to experience the quietness and God's beauty of the Amish countryside. We were so pleased with the home. Our kids loved the backyard with a swingset and teetherball. There were constantly Amish buggies going to an fro right in the front of the house. We loved to watch the Amish farmers as we set on the front porch. The inside of the home was huge and laid out nicely. The kids loved to escape to the basement filled with toys. I would definately stay here again!!!

We traveled with our four children and stayed in this home and were so thankful that the Lord blessed us with a wonderful stay. The house is large and roomy and surrounded by Amish countryside. We could look out our window and see dozens of buggies pass each day. We could also watch the Amish farmers as they worked in the field. The backyard was large and had a perfect place for the children to play. Their favorite was the teetherball. There were also babies birds in the backyard and this was a lot of fun for us to observe as well. When it rained, there was a basement stocked with inside toys and plenty of room to run and play. The only thing I would change if I came back is that I would stay longer. Thanks!!!

My family and I enjoyed Easter at this comfortable home. My father has limited mobility and the spacious living area allowed ample room for his wheelchair. The family enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the daily activities on the Amish farm across the street. We also enjoyed the Sight & Sound Theater, the farm markets and variety stores. The Esh family was extremely helpful in locating a church for my family during our stay. This is a home that we would recommend to families with children as toys, bikes, etc are provided, to couples as the home is located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful scenery, to women's retreats as numerous shops are nearby, and to the handicapped as the home is easily accessible and spacious.
