It is a little hip, timeless but very comfortable and homey. Think of Sinatra singing "Lady is a Tramp" and then finding stuffed teddy bears awaiting you on the beds. What a combination...like having a martini with your comfort food.
The first time you see this place from the dead end street you will attempt to do back flips; you will shout hallelujah at your good fortune.
The home is on the 18th hole of the legendary (private) De Anza golf course and within easy walking distance of the club house. The covered patio reaches out to the spa and pool (with diving board). There are two bedrooms and 1.5 baths in the main house and then there is a separate two bedroom, two bath guest house (with kitchenette). And, this home is well-behaved-dog friendly with a large fenced, gated yard.
The master bedroom has its own doors to the patio and pool. There is another patio at the front of the house.
There is room to roam, yet the home is cozy and the fireplace is a real wood burner and, of course, there is WI-FI.
So bring your Sinatra and Ella CDs, your Fred Astaire dancing shoes and some dry vermouth. Ol' blue eyes would be proud.

A comfortable, clean and classic 60's architecture home with great views of golf course.

This home is a mostly renovated 60's home with beautiful landscaping. We were there in mid April, so the roses, petunias, and other flowers were in full bloom. There were even delicious grapefruits and oranges on the trees in the back yard. The house has many alum. sliding glass and screen doors, most of which work OK. A couple were off the tracks, or sliding roughly. It has a nice kitchen and large living room with lots of glass windows floor to ceiling which provide expansive views of the 18th fairway on DeAnza golf course bordering the back yard fence. There is a classic shuttered bar nook near the large dining table with shelves of various wine and cocktail glasses. The home is nicely furnished, and the back yard has a shady place to sit with a 4 person table. There's also a shady breezeway on the entry side of the home, but no view from there. The pool and jacuzzi are small, but clean and functional. The aggregate is old and quite rough on your feet so bring flip-flops or sandals. Make sure you bring a portable boom box as there is no sound system in the home. The sattelite TV worked fine with a large flat screen HDTV. DVD, and wireless internet worked fine too. The gas BBQ didn't get hot enough to cook our steaks, but the double oven and elect. range worked fine. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots, pans, and other appliances we needed to cook all our meals. You'll want to bring extra ice as the ice maker is small and a bit slow. I'd definitely return for another stay!
