DONT RENT THIS PROPERTY unless you dont mind a very poorly stocked kitchen, inadequate broom, mop, etc; doors that are insecure (one outside door will not even open as it is stuck and needs a fireman's ax), lots of crickets and some black widow spiders, poor furnace function and extremely poor air conditioning, 3 TVs which dont work properly as one freezes frequently, one has NO REMOTE (such a delight!) and the other one which has the only extra better channels is located in the guest bedroom (and I had to spend time with the provider repairman to correct problems). In addition, the patio, although having some privacy, lacks any sun as it is always in the shade, the rattan on the kitchen chairs is damaged (I bought tape and covered the problem areas), the vertical blinds are missing slats and do not work well (we oiled the tracks), the guest bedroom had a heavy musty smell that took many weeks to leave, everything needs a very good cleaning and it is a lengthy walk from the car with provisions and luggage. The owner, although advised of deficiencies, appears to have no interest in this property and since she is in Spain and says her English is not good there is no point in pursuing any matters with her (and her friend-agent has no authority), WHICH I KNOW as we were there for 3 months and there were many problems during that time. Just before leaving, a notice was posted on the door that payments were in arrears and that any tenants would not have the use of the pool, hottub, garage parking and garbage collection, and also with the likelihood of the water being turned off. The owners next door told me that rentals of less than a month are not allowed under the by-laws but that this unit was being used for much shorter stays. Good things were the pool, the hottub and the quiet pleasant neighbour/owners.Recommended for: Pet owners.
