  Whenever we make a trip to Key West, we always check to see if this condo is available. We have enjoyed all of our stays there, and hope there is more in the future. The condo is very clean and comfortable, and we have had no problem with the complex itself and the owner is very nice to work with.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  The unit was very clean, well stocked with linens, kitchen was furnished adequately and staff was accommodating. The only disappointing thing for us was that the pool closes way too early for those who are out exploring the town, and we didn't get to relax around the pool at night like we had planned.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

  The unit was very nice, well cleaned, well maintained. The layout would be perfect for two couples to share, each bedroom had an adjoining bath. It was enjoyable watching the airplanes take off and land They didn't fly really early or really late. The location was perfect to get out and walk, run, or ride a bike along Roosevelt Hwy. Even being in a location with many other condo's and complexes...it was very peaceful and the location was very pretty. In March, the sun set over the island but we could watch the entire sunset from our balcony on nights we didn't feel like being in Mallory Square. This is a very good deal for the money.

  We greatly enjoyed the condo with its beautiful location ( 3rd floor, overlooking the salt marsh), and the lovely balcony, grounds and outdoor pool (a decent size). Most everything went smoothly. The staff at Sunrise were very helpful. We did enjoy renting bikes for the week (Eaton Bikes delivers and picks up bikes), which we kept locked in the bike rack near the pool without any problem. We biked, snorkeled, swam, and explored. Nearby South Roosevelt Blvd has a wide sidewalk on the ocean side which can be used with bikes. It passes mangroves and beaches, going toward Old Town. We liked the quiet location of the condo. The grounds were kept beautifully. It was a pleasure from to deal with the owner, from initial enquiry to post-trip feedback.(We suggested that the owner provide some additional utensils in the kitchen and she promised to look into this.). The owner promptly answered all emails and was always helpful. We thought from the Homeaway description that the condo would have a washer and dryer, but the there were none inside the condo. We did use the laundry downstairs (takes coins). Overall, we had a great experience and would consider returning.

  The condo was clean upon our arrival and we found everything in working order, except for the lock on the slider. Since the condo is on the 3 rd floor we were not too concerned. Our only complaint was we had to call several times to get clean towels. After a visit to the office which I was told that the towels would be Broughtnover in a few minutes. After 30 min, a follow-up call was placed and the towels were brought over soon after. We really enjoyed the location. It was quiet, close to the water and there was a nice walking/bicycle path that ran along the water.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

  Owner response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It looks like you worked out the bike situation. I'll work on the two things - fix lock for the balcony door and talk to Front Office about the promptness of clean towel delivery. My guess is that that was a one-off situation. Maybe they ran out of clean towels. I will certainly provide this comment to them. I truly appreciate this type of feedback so I can keep improving the unit for my guests. Thank you!

• Great place to stay!

  We enjoyed our weekend in the keys and had a great stay at the condo. Unit was nicely equipped and clean. Plenty of space for 4 people. Full sized kitchen and two large bathrooms. Beaches are just around the corner, a nice bike ride with the ocean off to your left! Downtown is a little further, but we were perfectly happy making the distance by bike (3 or 4 miles). We had our dog with us and had no issues. Actually ran into several other residents who had dogs and used the fenced in tennis courts as a place to play fetch. Unit is on 3rd floor, but near the stairs and an elevator is available too. Parking wasn't an issue. All and all the visit was great. We enjoyed some peace and quiet but also enjoyed the night life of key west. Booking and staying at the condo was easy and certainly reasonable, even with a pet!

There were earlier complaints about the poor performance of the a/c and the resulting musty smell in the unit. I take every feedback seriously to maintain the quality of my unit.   The condo was clean and comfortable, and the owner was very easy to work with, but the air conditioning didn't work well, so we had to leave the balcony door open while we were there. The safe wasn't working and we had $400 stolen from our room. We reported it to the manager, but basically we're out of luck, so watch your valuables. I do feel as though, since the safe wasn't working, they should have offered us something. I guess it's supposed to be our fault for carrying cash. I repeat, watch your valuables! There's just one small store in the complex, though they had just about everything you could need. I'd try to bring stuff with me though, as the prices were high. If you want a decent cup of coffee, there isn't any to be had within a mile. I guess you could go to the nearby Doubletree for meals, but otherwise if you want to eat out, you need to go a mile or two. Duval St is about $18 by taxi, so it's just about worth paying to stay closer. Physically, I can't ride or walk to Duval, and didn't want to sit through the trolley ride, so taxis were our only choice. I would not stay there again.

I will speak with the manager right away about the faulty air conditioning and the safe that did not work. This is just unacceptable! It's also unfortunate that the location of the resort caused you so much inconvenience. I try to be accurate in describing the location of the condo and for some people, especially if they have cars, they find the distance from downtown somewhat calming and not a problem at all.   Whilst the location was wonderful, I would have like more cooking implements such as fry pan (one only in poor shape), and gratter. The home had a musty smell and was in need of a paint, the TV could be updated. Cleaning products such as dish washing liquid and a scrubber would have been handy. We enjoyed the rest and life style of Key West, we would recommend it to others

I just reported the musty smell to the condo management, as well as the dishwashing liquid and cleaning implements. They provide those as part of their service. The kitchen equipment and TV I will make sure and upgrade - in time for your next visit. :)

  The condo was clean and cozy with a fully equiped kitchen (wine glasses too!), cable, and a DVD player that made it feel just like home. We were with our 3 year old daughter who loved the outdoor pool. The location of the condo is also a nice and quiet area but just a short drive away to the beach and Duval/Mallory Square. I also admire the excellent service from the staff who was always very helpful. Overall, I would say that we had an excellent and stress-free vacation at this condominium.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  Short version in english: stench in the apartment, great noise outside every day, the apartment dirty, north balcony, never sun !!! NEVER ! Very noisy especially at night, noise heard by all neighbors well, thin build ! Clogged sink, no kettle, owner says please contact the reception, i don´t know where the switch , (ligth kitchen) reception says, we are not responsible, please ask the owner ! The owner says: Welcome to paradise. NEVER AGAIN !!! NEVER !!! In deutsch: Gestank im Appartment, (mangels dauerhaft schlechter Lüftung) von 14 Tagen waren 12 Tage so laut draußen, daß man die Balkontür geschlossen halten mußte, aufgrund von Gärtnern, die hier wirklich ALLE Arbeiten mit extrem lauten Motorsensen, Motorlaubgebläsen, Motorheckenscheeren, Motorsaugern, Motorbesen und so weiter jeden Tag die Anlage "TOLL in Schuß" hielten :-( (ein mal ein Windstoß und das Motorgebläse war wieder im Einsatz für ein paar Stunden) Nordbalkon, das dürfte dem Sonnenliebhaber etwas sagen ! Das gesamte Gebäude ist sehr hellhörig (Plattenbauweise) so das man alle Geräusche der Nachbarn gut hören kann. Nachts sehr laut hier ! Zuständigkeiten bei Eigentümervermietungen nicht geklärt. Wasser kochen für Tee mußte im Kochtopf erledigt werden. (Deckel Fehlanzeige) Jeden einzelnen Tag haben wir uns an die Worte vom Eigentümer nach Bezahlung der Miete erinnert: "Willkommen im Paradies" Ich vermute, er war nach Erwerb der Wohnung nicht mehr hier. Totales Renditeobjekt, ohne Seele ! Nie wieder !

  Owner response: I am so sorry that you felt this way about the condo. What I don't understand is why you found the place so undesirable when 90 other guests have gone out of their way to give very positive - some rave - reviews of the place. The most recent review before yours - a repeat guest - keeps coming back and always gives a review of how clean and comfortable the place is. You could have called or written me during your stay and complained directly, and I would have done what I could to correct the situation. Unfortunately, I can't help it if your stay was not sunny, but I know from my own stays during different parts of the year that the balcony gets a lot of sun. Another European guest had raved about that very same balcony. I'm sorry that I can't please everyone.

There is a 12.5% Florida tax plus $45 setup charge and $7 non-optional daily charge for clean towels and concierge service. Cleaning is optional at an extra charge of $10.
