Beautiful, Spacious Beach Home in Safe Rocky Point. Great View
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Las Conchas
We chose Las Conchas because it is a gated community with several miles of pristine beach. It is only a few miles from the center of town. We were able to buy a lot with superb views and only steps from the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the sunsets from any of the five patios, but especially the roof deck, which has a great fireplace. It is a wonderful place to relax.
Owner's Map of Private Homes, Las Conchas
We love the fall and winter weather in Rocky Point. Our dog loves to run on the beach, and animals are very welcome in Las Conchas. Please bring a leash for your dog. There is a nearby estuary where the water is almost always calm and warm, and you can get there with a 4 x 4, ATV, or dune buggy. When the fish are running we surf fish right by the house.

Fantastic house. Everything Norm said it is, it is. We had a wonderful time down in Rocky Point. The vendors brough by some fantastic tamales and burritos. The fresh fish and shark along with the fresh shrimp made for a wonderful meal. Watching the dolphins must be the best part of our trips down here. We had 4 families that stayed with us this trip plus the 2 dogs and had more than enough room that we were not on top of everyone. Love the decor Norm and Carol.

We recently returned from spending time over Spring Break at this wonderful home. The house was so spacious, there was more than enough room for three generations and a small dog to share and enjoy it! Highlights of the trip from ages 7-77 included the fresh fish and mangos from the vendors at Old Port, the fresh tortillas from the Bodega, the glass shop just up the street from Old Port, "rodeo drive" shopping, long walks, beachcombing, and kayaking on the Sea of Cortez, the wonderful hairbraiding woman on the beach, the two other older women who found our house one morning with fresh breakfast burritos in hand, the beautiful sunsets from the rooftop deck, and warm mesquite fires at night. It was a fabulous getaway. We highly recommend it!

What a great house, what a great vacation, what a great experience. Thank you so so much Norm for coming to my rescue and having availability in your lovely home. The home is very spacious, clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a four day get away from the cool weather in Flagstaff ,Az. Your home is very beautifully decorated and very well layed out. I took my Grandmother to see Rocky Point one last time (or so she thinks) which she has'nt been there in 30 years. She loved every minute of it and wants to go back some day. The tile work throughout the house is incrediblely beautiful I loved it and got some good ideas for myself. Many people will enjoy the beauty of this FABULOUS home. Thanks again Norm till next time. Jacque from Louisiana
Owner response:This house has introduced us to some of the nicest people we'll ever meet. Don't be afraid to make a last-minute reservation. We will always try to accommodate. It is a happy place to spend a few days.

Spring Break in your thirties is a bit different than those beach weeks in college. Yet, we had the most amazing time taking advantage of this house, the kayak, the beach, and the beautiful view from all three porches. There were 7 adults and 3 young kids (who put their tent on the front balcony and "camped" during our stay. In the mornings we bought fish at the market and at night made these huge feasts of deliciousness in the kind of kitchen that makes you glad to wash dishes. The view out over the ocean is really lovely. I can't think of a single thing I'd change about our visit. Such a wonderful place to escape.
Owner response:It is always a pleasure to learn that the house exceeded expectations. You really do have to see it. The views are wonderful.

The pictures just don't do this 5 star home justice! The tile mosaics throughout the house are each a work of art. The kitchen is so large that 4 people can work easily together and not get in each others way. The unit was clean and well-maintained and the owner was only a phone call away to answer all of our questions. We (all four couples and more) celebrated New Years Eve at the Lighthouse where the service was fast and efficient. We shopped at "Mercedes" where the prices were excellent. We got a good deal on fresh shrimp and clams at the fishermen's market on the Malecon before we headed back to San Felipe (4 hour drive). Definitely will return!

Our 3rd time staying in this beautiful home. Its so much more than a rental. The owners are there imediately any time you need them. Our New Years was complete by being in such beautiful surrounding. Most definately recommend this property. Thanks again to Norm and Carol
Owner response:We love it when Dino and Sharon and their friends come down. Dino makes a fine batch of biscuits and gravy each year, and we are invited to partake. The house is definitely a great gathering place.

This was our third visit to this beautiful house. Each time is better than the time before. This property is very well maintained and has all the amenities of home!! We have recommended this property to friends and will continue to do so.
Owner response:We don't always meet our guests because our residence is a half mile away, and we stay away unless needed. However, Barbara and Dean have become friends. We turned them on to restaurants and shopping which has made their visits more fun for everyone.

Your home was even better than the pictures and the location was perfect. Your home was beautiful, very clean and well maintained. You had all the extras that made our stay perfect. Norm and Carole were very helpful and sent us a clear and accurate map to their home as well as making us feel very comfortable about visiting Mexico which I was extremely afraid about--because our visit was for our god daughters wedding we couldn't refuse but we were scared about being in Mexico. Norm was very reassuring and welcoming and our trip was perfect. I would definitely recommend their home to friends and family.
Owner response:Pat and Shirley were pleasantly surprised when they arrived. The house was built to sell for $700,000, so it is always a jolt to see how much house you end end up with. Take advantage of the soft market and get an upscale vacation rental for a fraction of the old price. We are always happy to offer any advice that makes your stay better

We really enjoyed our time at this special home. Everything was absolutely fantastic, from the location to the amenities the home provided. Our large family had ample room at the house, the teenagers had the downstairs to themselves and we didn't hear a peep out of them! The house is even more beautiful in person. Thanks to the owners for being so helpful.

We have stayed at this property twice and the entire family just loves it! There is abundant room for everyone (we had two families), you never feel crowded. The photos truly do not do this home justice, it is a spectacular home with intricate tile and brickwork throughout. The home is nicely appointed with all the comforts of home, the owners have left no detail overlooked. The views from the patios are stunning (love the rooftop BBQ area)! The owners are extremely helpful and have great knowledge of the area, they provided us with great tips for restuarants and fun day trips. We will always stay at this home on our trips to Rocky Point.
