The minute you walk into our rental you will feel at home. The beautiful colors and comfortable furniture invite you to relax and enjoy. Take a swim in the heated pool, read in one of the teak lounge chairs, take in the outstanding view of the natural preserve that can be seen across the whole back of the house. The lanai has two bar areas, a water feature, and an eating area that seats six. Feel free to use the bicycles provided and ride through the gorgeous, safe area right next to the Caloosahatche River.
There are numerous four star restaurants and the best wings around within 5 minutes. If you like the night life, down town Ft. Myers offers many night spots as does the beach at Estero. Theaters are close as well as great shopping. Don't miss seeing the Edison/Ford museum. These two icons of history had their summers homes in Ft. Myers and Edison invented many things that are displayed in his extensive lab. The gardens of these homes are fabulous. Estero beach (Ft. Myers) is 20 minutes away, Cape Coral, 10 minutes and a huge water park 2 miles. If you golf there are several high end courses as well as excellent public courses at real bargains. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are on Sanibel and Captiva which is only a 15 minute drive. Captiva is also famous for it's shelling.
There is breathing room on both sides of the house. No worry about neighbors eavesdropping while you enjoy the pool. Turn on the stereo and surround sound and have a cocktail. You also have plenty of space inside at 2300 sq. ft under roof. Dine on the lanai, in the cozy kitchen or in the formal dining room. Use the china in the hand painted china cabinet or grab the picnic basket, cooler and beach chairs and head down to the beach for a beautiful sunset. The neighborhood is friendly and everyone makes you feel welcome. The kitchen is bright and has everything you could possibly need. Recline in the leather chair or relax on the huge sectional to watch Sunday football or one of the many movies provided. There are three TV's and CD players in case you and your significant other don't like the same shows. Nothing is needed to stay here except your personal belongings.

Year Purchased: 1998
My wife and I have been married 42 years. I am retired but she has one more year until we can spend more time in Florida. She takes care of our little grandkids, 2,4 and 6. We have 12 all together. We have three children and our oldest just moved to NC. The other two live in Lansing, Michigan as do we. We consider this our home not a rental and you will realize this the moment you walk in. Attention to detail show in the lovely decor, beautiful art work, meticulous yard, great beds and bedding. My wife is a good cook (ha)so you will find everything in the kitchen as well as two refrigerators. We keep one in the laundry area for beverages. Time flies so fast when we are there. It truly is a vacation each time we go.
Why the Owner Chose North Fort Myers
I didn't travel much growing up but my wife spent her summers in Florida. She was very familiar with both coasts. When we decided to buy a winter home, there was never any doubt we would settle in Ft. Myers, or in the southwest area. All the theme parks, Busch Gardens in Tampa, Disney World, Universal Studio and Sea World are a 1-3 hour drive so we take all the kids there when they visit. The white sugar sand is wonderful and swimming in the gulf is more relaxing than the ocean. Where we are located we don't worry much about the snow birds and the traffic. We are tucked away in an area that affords us every amenity we could possibly want, yet we don't have to drive far for all of it.
