WELCOME TO THE “COTTAGE ON LANCEFORD”
The cottage is located on a 7 acre parcel in Yulee, Florida on a deepwater creek which connects to the Intercoastal Waterway. This is indeed old Florida with huge live oaks, laden with Spanish moss and resurrection ferns, magnolias, a citrus grove, cottage garden and beautiful views of the marsh and creek. Fishing, crabbing and just relaxing are options on the beautiful covered dock.
Though a boat does not come with the rental, there is a floating dock available for mooring your boat if desired. Boats can be rented locally. It is a 15 minute boat ride into the harbor of Fernandina Beach and a 20-30 minute boat ride to Cumberland Island, St. Mary’s, Georgia or the Atlantic Ocean. Great fishing and sight seeing abound!
The location just off of A1A in Yulee, the most northeastern town in Florida, makes it easy to access Amelia Island and its beautiful beaches (15 minutes from the cottage). In addition, Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island is an historical town as it is the second oldest city in the United States. Wonderful Key West style homes are abundant; shops, a local museum, and fine restaurants are also found in Fernandina.
Shopping, great restaurants of all types, groceries, etc are within a 10 minute drive of the cottage or 20 minutes if you want to go to Amelia. Or just enjoy the picturesque setting around the cottage, relax on the back porch or on the daybed swing on the dock and enjoy the tranquility of Old Florida: no crowds, pavement, condos, etc. Just peaceful surroundings in a rural-like environment close to all conveniences. It is a wonderful spot to relax, renew and take a step back in time. That is a guarantee!

May-Sep .. $250/night (3 night min) plus $100 cleanup fee
Monthly rental negotiable.
Weekly charge for 6 nights.
$250 refundable deposit if cottage is left in good condition, and
there are no loss or breakage. Deposit is due at the time the
reservation is made and will not be refunded if cancellation is
made within 2 weeks of reservation.
