An old -3 floor with loft- completely renovated house, in the picturesque village of Ioulis, with great views of the sea to the far left and to the village to the right. There are 3 balconies or covered areas to sunbathe, sit, work or just enjoy the sunset and the changes of the colors at different times of the day. Spectacular views of the village at night!
On the second floor there is a living and dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a fireplace. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with one double and a twin bed. Both rooms have private bathrooms with showers and big closets. On the ground floor -with an original arch from the old castle- there is one king size bed and one double size bed. The bedroom has a private bathroom with shower. On the loft there is a couch that can sleep up to two with a big closet and half bath.
Light and airy, the house has an open floor plan with easy access from the verandas to the shared living spaces and bedrooms. Rooms are cool or have fans. Electric heating very pleasant even for the winter time. Outdoors enjoy the verandas, the balconies and the shade of an olive and lemon tree. Enjoy a very quiet time with no car noise only two minutes walking distance from the center of the village!

Year Purchased: 2004
We bought the house because it is very picturesque and very close to Athens and the airport. From our house you can walk to the village restaurants, supermarkets, museum, movie theater in the summer. Or you can drive either to the beaches around the island for sunbathing, swimming and fishing in between 10 to 30 minutes driving. We love spending our vacation on the island and even work or enjoy a family reunion or invite friends.
Why the Owner Chose Ioulis
KEA is a little quiet island of the Cyclades complex only two hours from Athens airport. Half hour drive to the port "Lavrio" and one hour by ferryboat to the island. KEA is a peaceful island with two villages, one by the sea "KORISSIA" and one on top of a mountain in the center of the island "IOULIS" where the house is. The cars are parked at the entrance of the village therefore the village and the house are very quiet without car and motorcycle noise. There is an archeological museum, and several stone paved paths for hiking on the whole island ideally for the Fall, Winter or Spring. On the island there are several archeological sites to visit.
