Completely furnished with linens, blankets, towels, and kitchenware, the flat has a comfortable living/dining room simply decorated in a modern, relaxed style, including original artwork. The fully-equipped kitchen has new high-quality cookware, utensils and appliances, including an electric stove and oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, blender, juicer and food processor. Ideal as a hotel alternative for vacationing or business, the very convenient location is 1/2 block from 22nd Street's growing assortment of restaurants and coffee shops including Piccino and Serpentine, and just down the hill from Potrero Hill’s 18th Street shops and restaurants (including Turkish, Vietnamese, Sushi, French Bistro, Pizza & Mexican) plus a bakery, wine bar, groceries and laundry. We're located two blocks from the bay, where the Blue-Greenway bike route traces the water's edge 1/2 mile to the Embarcadero downtown, then out to Fisherman's Warf--and for ambitious riders, to Crissy Field Park which leads over the Golden Gate Bridge.

We are a 3 minute walk to the TK-3rd tram line 20th street stop to downtown, as well as the 22 bus line that travels up to the top of Potrero Hill and directly into the Mission, then to the Fillmore and to the Marina. Downtown is 5 minutes by car via two nearby freeways (101 and 280). There is ample street parking after 5PM and daytime parking is rarely an issue. Charming and private apartment

Guest: bb (alexandria, va)
Date of Stay: 10/17/11 Review Submitted: 10/22/11

The apartment was really clean, seemed new, fully furnished, stocked, and had the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Jared and Katherine were completely unobtrusive , but readily available and helpful if needed. We had a car, and parking was not an issue. We did not try the public transportation, though it looked convenient. There was a great restaurant (cant remember the name) at the end of the block, and it had the best breakfast and baked goods ever. We would highly recommend this to a couple looking for a comfortable and welcoming flat. place to stay. Having a nice kitchen was a plus, and the garden was accessible, private and charming. It was all we needed!

Fantastic Flat

Date of Stay: 08/19/11 Review Submitted: 08/24/11

Rented the apartment for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We appreciated that the area is a little quiet, but within a quick drive or walking distance of the Mission etc.. The kitchen is well-equiped with high-end appliances, making cooking in a great option. The french doors allowed the fresh air and sun (a rarity in other parts of the city) shine in. The garden/patio area was lovely. The apartment has all the comforts of home- and then some. The owners were very accommodating and gave great suggestions for the area. Had a great dinner with friends at Piccino. The wine shop next door is fantastic too. Would highly recommend.

Very easy

We stayed here for 3 days because we were looking for a place more toward the SE part of the City (since most hotels in SF are downtown/Union Square). Everything was very easy, from picking up the keys to the information provided to us about the neighborhood to the "checkout". Very clean, very comfortable, with just about everything we needed.

Excellent Flat with Wonderful Owners

Guest: kaliko (Hawaii)

I had an excellent time at the flat where I stayed for a month this summer. The internet connection was VERY much appreciated, as was the quiet and calm atmosphere, the clean and well provisioned kitchen, the lovely carpeted floor, the soft recliner seats, and the well-placed round work table. The owners are also wonderful people and they were always available when needed. That being said, they won't bother you as a tenant and in fact, you hardly hear a peep from them despite them living right upstairs. I'm going back the very next chance I get!

Loved our Stay!!

Guest: Jack D. (N. Island, New Zealand)
Date of Stay: 03/11/10 Review Submitted: 04/26/10

My husband I were pleasantly surprised with our garden access, cozy "home" apartment with access to so much that is San Francisco for such a great rate. We have stayed in other areas of this beautiful city, but none of them have given us such easy access to downtown and beyond via tram or bus as this little gem. We even tried all transport options and took our hosts advice and rented bicycles to explore this evolving area of downtown SF. It brought us to boathouses, a new recreation area where you can rent kayaks and explore the city from the water perspective (note to self: next visit), the behind-the-scenes of the Giants stadium and then onto the Embarcadero - taking it all in slowly on a bike is wonderful. We even managed to make it to Fisherman's Wharf! The great thing is that we also had a car - and we never had to worry about parking or getting a ticket. This was a very unique SF experience for us! We dined at several of the locations recommended by our hosts in Potrero Hill. A couple of the evenings, the weather was so spectacular - we worked up our appetite by walking up the short but steep hill to the PH restaurant hub and a nice easy downhill walk for the way home. In the morning, an easy and flat stroll 1/2 block away got us (mainly me) to a steaming cup of the most delish coffee from Piccinos - yum! The bed was big and the linens lush - I fell into bed each evening after enjoying a quiet view of their garden patio! The kitchen was well-equipped - and with our week stay, we were able to shop up the street and cook a few meals at home. So quiet and peaceful, the apartment was perfect for when I just wanted to hang for an afternoon and enjoy my new novel! Our hosts, Katherine and Jared were gracious and knowledgeable and we felt we had a headstart in investigating San Francisco from this locations perspective. We'd return in a heartbeat and plan on it in the Fall when SF shines again. Thank you for sharing a piece of your home, Katherine and Jared!

Pleasant and Quiet

Guest: Coon Rapids (Minnesota)
Date of Stay: 04/14/10 Review Submitted: 04/20/10

This was a charming, quiet little place to come home to each day after site-seeing around San Francisco. It was very clean and cozy with a beautiful view of the garden in the back yard. Katherine and Jared were very gracious hosts - even when we locked ourselves in the backyard and didn't know how to get out! We would definitely recommend this for a couple who needs a place to relax. It is also very close to the public transportation that gets you downtown.
