This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. Our family had a great time and the place was very clean and set up well. It is the perfect home away from home. I would highly recommend this place if you love to get away near water to fish, swim, or relax. Perfect at night set up with games and pool table to occupy your time.

PEACE in a PIECE of paradise..............

Our party of four senior citizens just spent a few days in the River House. Words cannot adequately express our total enjoyment, but I would like to write a few comments. The owners present the rental as their second home, and with the care and attention to detail in this river house, that is exactly what it is: a home. I had several contacts with the owner prior to renting, and I always got a courteous, kind, timely response which was very much appreciated. The owners have gone above and beyond what one expects in a rental, and the time spent at the river house makes one feel so comfortable and relaxed, it is almost as if one is at home. Not only was the owner a wonderful person with whom to deal, the caretaker was personable and extremely helpful. I'll just do a listing below of what we found. The owners' presentation to potential renters is accurate except, upon arrival, you'll find it even better than presented: beautiful property, gorgeous home, very spacious, many windows bringing the outside in making it bright and airy, a private park on the Chattahoochee River with a hammock, grill, horseshoes picnic table, 6 tubes for turbing down the river which is easily accessible from the property, a beautiful deck right on the river, fishing fun, a little sandy beach area, all along the back of the property...right on the river. A huge screened-in porch with two ceiling fans is the perfect place for observing the many birds which come to the feeder attached to the outside of the porch. The two ceiling fans with their gentle humming will lull one right off to sleep. The only other noises are the gurgling sounds of the river and sounds of nature...SO peaceful. There are decks on every floor. From inside guests can watch deer feeding at dusk, sometimes one or two, sometimes as many as five. The hot tub and pool table are great. There is a washing machine along with a dryer, kitchen cabinets are labeled as to contents, linens and paper products were provided, BATH ROBES WERE IN BEDROOM CLOSETS FOR YOUR USE, small containers of shampoo, cream rinse, and soap were furnished along with hair dryers, televisions, movies to watch, books to read, the fully equipped kitchen, and a short distance to Helen and Clarkesville, both small towns and fun to visit...PLUS BUNCHES MORE. We are so hoping to return in the future, and when we do, we'll just stay put. God made a beautiful world, and this river house reminded us once again of that gift.

Paradise

We recently stayed at the Riverfront Home for a relaxing vacation. The house is everything you could want it to be. Decks and dock are a nice addition. The hot tub was bliss. Helen is a really neat little town. There are a lot of shops and restaurants which were all very good. I did not find items expensive. They provide a Hiking Georgia trail book for use which we used a lot. Another hidden gem was renting a pontoon boat on Lake Burton. All in all, we'd definitely make plans to visit again. There's really lots to do! One week did not give us enough time.

Great River house

Had a super weekend at River House. We didn't need anything but a change of clothes and our food. Cynthia has thought of everything. The paved road to the river is quite steep, but a good cardio workout ! We had alot of fun watching deer, catching fish, and relaxing in the hot tub!

My family frequently rents homes from owners. This is one of the best and well equipped homes we have rented. The owners have thought of everything and it is so very well maintained. The home is on a large piece of property and feels very private. We enjoyed fishing from the deck and eating supper from the screened porch. It is close enough to Helen, GA and to waterfall hikes. Loved Raven Cliff Falls. We are already planning to visit again or ask to rent another one of their properties. Perfect for couples or families traveling together because of the house layout. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You cannot possibly be disappointed.

Great River Lot!

The accomodations at the River House was great. I don't think there was anything we needed, that we either didn't bring or have at the house. I was pleasantly surprised to discover all the amenities to enjoy during our visit. You have done an excellent job utilitizing your river lot and the paved driveway down to the park/river was much appreciated. We enjoyed the tubing, feeding the huge trout, picinic area and the swimming hole. The park was a real hit with the girls. It was exactly what we came up there to do. We needed another day to finish playing with all the stuff that was provided. We will be visiting again in the future. I've already sent the info to one of the girls' sister. Thanks for being so kind and so easy to work with and for helping us have a "Great Weekend"!

We loved this place! Words can not express the beauty of this property. Our families had a wonderful time here and hope to return again and again. The pictures do not prepare you for the actual quality that this property possesses, however, at the same time it feels how a home should feel like. Cynthia was extremly accomodating and Daniel was so helpful. We have no complaints other than the stay was too short! BeBe is a great host as well!

This home has it all! Beauty, peace, serenity, picturesque views and an incredible home! If you are looking for a peaceful location, with plenty of diverse opportunities to fill your time, you cannot pick a better place. As for BiBi...what a HOOT! Who would have guessed that the home comes with a resident entertainer! Truly a magical and restful experience.

My family always enjoys our vacations to the Helen area, this year we stayed at the Taylor's river house, which made are visit even better. This house is great, it had something for everyone. My husband enjoyed being outside and walking all around the property. Our adult children spend alot of time together in the evenings playing pool. The hot tub was very relaxing, especially with all the lights out and watching the full moon rising over the trees! A wonderful time was had by all!

Ms. Taylor I would like to express how much we enjoyed our stay at your river house near Helen. I have stayed at a couple of houses in Tennessee and none was as impressive as this house. You have everything someone needs in this house, all you really need to bring is your food and clothes. Daniel was very nice and helpful in explaining everything about the house and gave very helpful tips in regards to sites to see, fishing and eating places. No one has provided someone to get this information from before where we stayed. The house is beautiful and has plenty to do to keep everyone from being bored. My sister and her family stayed with us and this was their first experience staying somewhere like this on vacation, and they including her 18 yr old son was impressed with the house and area. They had a great time. We had a great time, the weather was awesome, a couple of days was perfect and a couple days of cool with snow flurries, which we enjoyed tremendously since we rarely see snow if Florida. We look forward to staying here again (hopefully next summer) with our son and his family. My grandchilren would love this place. My husband was so impressed with the place he kept saying all he needed was the Deed to the place. Take you for such a great place to stay. Oh yes we did meet your neighbors, Bebe and Cracker. If someone that hasn't stayed at this house before reads this, please do not have second thoughts about staying here, because is it an awesome place.

We've rented Cynthia's home at least 3x's. It's the perfect Georgia mountain experience. The river is beautiful and great fun to swim, tub and/or fish in. The hot tub and pool table are great evening gathering spots. The screened in deck is perfect to relax in while being surrounded by the wonderful wilderness. The home is beautifully decorated and filled with all your needs. The mountain is also great for biking! We can't wait to rent it again! Sincerely, Tara & Mike from New York

Oh my, how we love this beautiful place! We have visited 4 times now and we LOVE it more and more every time. The home is beautiful and the scenery is too. Daniel is so kind and helpful. And B B (neighborhood dog)spends the entire weekend with us. She even tubed the entire river with us this trip and we gave her a ride back in the SUV. I enjoy the colder months best when the fireplaces can be enjoyed, as well as the hot tub and pool table. I cannot wait to go back!!!! GREAT couples getaway.

The house is much more beautiful than the pictures on the website. When they say first class they mean first class. Beautiful deck with hot tub. The grounds are well done all the way down to the river. There is a picnic area with benches and hammock and large deck. You even get a small friend"Bi Bi" , the dog from next door to greet you. The town of Helen is just like in the pictures and everyone was friendly. We enjoyed our four days and hope to return in the future.

The pictures of this house and property do not do it justice. The house is absolutely spectacular. What a wonderful place to get away and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life! During our stay, we enjoyed sightseeing in nearby Helen. We had a great dinner at Paul's Steakhouse in Helen! We also enjoyed sitting on the screened porch in the evenings and listening to the river flow and the crickets chirp. The house had all of the amenities that one would need while on vacation. The kitchen was especially well-stocked with dishes, utensils, etc. Everything was very well labeled which made finding things a breeze. We are already planning our next visit!

Cynthia, Thanks so much for sharing your river house with my family. I came along for this long weekend with my husband, son and parents. We all enjoyed our stay and hated to leave. My husband, my son and me went tubing with the neighbors dog BB. My parents went into Helen and Sautee to do some shopping. We have come to this area all of our lives and enjoyed staying out of town where it was quite and secluded. We cannot wait to come back again. I have already given your information to many people and plan to do so even more. Thanks again!!!

Dearest Taylors, I stayed at your lovely place this past weekend (for a "girlfriends weekend"). There were several of us. It is just a BEAUTIFUL place!!! Filled with everything we could have wanted or thought of! We relaxed....prayed.....enjoyed!! One of the most charming aspects of staying is....the deer we encountered. They wandered in and out of our lives.....their delicate steps added to our sense of peace. Their lack of fear added to our joy in observing them! They NEVER bolted......just peacefully and quietly wandered away.... thereby allowing us to revel in their quiet tender presence and marvel in their lack of fear. I felt a bond. I stepped outside of my busy, hectic life the minute I entered the gates of the community, and encountered deer without fear. I loved it!! Last, but not least, your home is marvelous!
