Although this charming cabin started out as a real barn at the turn of the century, the intervening years have seen her blossom into a fully updated, and delightfully appointed, private cottage. This home beckons couples seeking a romantic getaway, or a family gathering in need of an enchanting home away from home.

The home, with warm pine floors, cozy wood stoves, and tasteful appointments invites everyone to simply come right in and make themselves at home. The heart of the cottage is a large common room where guests are tempted into relaxing and enjoying a calmer, quieter pace. The main floor also features a modern, thoroughly equipped kitchen with a cozy dining area, a charming bedroom with a queen bed, electric fireplace(for a romantic atmosphere) and a jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom.

The upstairs is a spacious open loft, but retains the same inviting feel as the rest of the house. The focal point of the loft is the pool table for all to gather and have fun. Each side of the loft opens to a sleeping alcove, one with two cozy twin beds, the other with a comfy double bed. The loft also has its' own outside entrance, via a shady covered balcony with chairs that just beg you to sit down, relax, and sip an iced tea.

Downtown Waynesville is just a couple of minutes away from the lovely wooded country setting of the "Little Red Barn, where it sits on 2+ acres along with the original farm house. You are also just minutes away from hiking, fishing, golfing, skiing, shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is just minutes away and is easily accessible from Waynesville, as is the Cherokee Indian Reservation and Casino, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, white water rafting, steam train excursions, and the renowned Biltmore Estate with its' home, gardens, and winery. Don't miss the elk that were recently reintroduced to the area.
