This spacious three-bedroom vacation home is thoughtfully appointed with new modernist furnishings inspired by famous mid-century modern designer icons. We loved the house and its location which was convenient to downtown Palm Springs but was quiet. The view of the mountains is great. Our two dogs loved the fenced in pool area. We hope to be renting this property many times in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We reluctantly departed Michael and Scott's house at the conclusion of our recent two month rental. We've already booked our return and next time will stay longer! The house, grounds, views, and interior all contribute to making this home so livable and lovely. Of equal or greater significance: the hosts' hospitality, accessibility and attention to detail. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and user friendly. Our dogs and we felt fully at home and at ease here and we were happy visitors indeed.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We were lucky enough to spend a week in this beautiful home and it was everything we'd hoped. Incredibly relaxing environment - incredibly appointed inside and out. We've stayed at several PS homes over the years and this one ranks as our favorite now. Great location - easy to get to everything we needed (Cheeky's and Sherman's!) and there is even a golf course right across the street with a great path for exercise. We also spent a fair amount of time cooking meals and found the house is well stocked with kitchen accoutrements. I want to go back! It's one of the few places I've been able to relax - sunrise and sunsets are beautiful through the huge and plentiful windows - the mountain views are gorgeous and of course the pool is always luring you outside to swim or relax in the spa or just lounge around. A+++ experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I stayed here with my wife, my 6 month old and my parents for 1 week and it could not have been any more relaxing. This house has EVERYTHING you need for a perfect getaway! We could not have been any happier. This house and property is immaculate. The Owners are very organized, helpful and thoughtful. We will absolutely stay here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Everything was exactly as described and shown. House was clean, fully furnished and had plenty for starter food supplies in the pantry. Pool was wonderful! After discussion with the owners, they purchased a pack and play for our use, and now have that for others to use too. Only thing I didn't realize at the time of booking was that there are two showers in the house, and no bath tub. Not a big problem, but more difficult with a young toddler. After our absolutely wonderful stay, I did email the owners to inform them that the yard service came at 6:45am to was so loud it woke everyone up. The owners were grateful for that information, and supposedly called the service and asked for a later time in the future. They also gave us a credit for our inconvenience. Great owners to work with all around!! We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are so appreciative that our guest notified us that the yard service arrived at an inconvenient time. As stated in the review, we immediately notified our landscaping service and they have subsequently changed their schedule to arrive later in the morning so that our guests will not be disturbed. We're so glad that overall they had a wonderful stay at our Alexander House!

This house is unbelievably comfortable, situated and stocked. From the beach towels for the pool, the potato peeler in the kitchen drawer to the divine beds and bedding. No detail has been left out. I was awed by the view of the mountains at sunset from the jacuzzi, heaven. This has to be the best vacation rental I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Thank you for the care you put into making your guests feel like they are home.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Such a great property to spend our 25th Anniversary - we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. This was our first visit to Palm Springs and we know for certain we will be back. Your home is perfect and you have thought out every detail (which appeals hugely to my inner OCD!). We have loved our vacation at your amazing house! It is so thought out - every detail and thoughtfulness. We've stayed at many VRBO's but this one has been our family's favorite. In 2007 a group of close friends from Seattle rented this delightful mid-century modern home for a winter escape from the rain and cold. We all fell instantly in love with the magical desert 'zen' that this home provided. Despite all the nearby attractions and activities, we found ourselves spending the majority of our four lazy days lounging by (and in!) the private heated pool, soaking up the sun, and grilling lunch and dinner poolside. At night we all enjoyed the wonderful sensation of slowly immersing ourselves into the jetted hot tub and gazing upwards at the stars. Three years later we discovered that this home was for sale. We didn't hesitate a second to purchase this vacation home for ourselves, families, and friends. As our guests, we trust you will have an equally memorable stay at our 'home away from home!'
