The apartment is on a beautiful beach on the Cost of Banderas Bay. Being on the bay means that the ocean is never too rough (like it could be on the open ocean side of the coast). The 5th floor terrace allows stunning views of the coast. In January and February large whales pass through the Bay and can easily be seen and followed.
Not far is Puerto Vallarta Adventures, which organizes all types of fun activities for adults and kids (swim with dolphins, scuba expeditions, jungle adventures, zip-lines through the jungle, trekking on the Sierra Madres mountains, deep sea fishing etc).
Several great restaurants are located within the small town of Punta Mita, which is a few minutes walk; most of the restaurants are on the beach.
The Four Seasons and the St. Regis Resorts (both worthwhile seeing) are just 5-6 minutes by car.
Puerto Vallarta, a very vibrant city with tons of restaurants and art galleries, is one hour by car.
