Your condo was perfect and the resort personnel were great. The condo is very well furnished and appointed. We found that driving there was not a problem at all. Being familiar with driving in Hawaii, St. Thomas was actually much easier even with driving on the opposite side of the road. Though I have to say, you're never quite sure what route you are on if you are going up mountain. We had a great time and will recommend your condo to others.

If you'd like to stay somewhere that isn't decorated with the same furniture as all the other rentals, this is for you. Interesting antiques, homey, comfortable. The location has a great view. This was our 4th stay at Point Pleasant Resort - the small beach is great for snorkeling. Good restaurant on site, with lots of great food available less than a 5 minute drive away, or catch the country bus. You can walk to Coki Beach, which has amazing snorkeling and nice sand. The Aquarium is fun - some of the activities are pricey, but we just paid the general admission and got to feed manta rays, listened to a talk about the 2 kinds of turtles at St. Thomas while watching them try to get the lettuce before the iguanas do, and beautiful lorrikeets will land on your shoulder. Nice couple of hours.

Plenty of space in the condo. HUGE balcony, great view. Guarded resort, low traffic area, plenty of parking beside this building. Easy access to pull the car up next to the building and unload. Low crime risk. Restaurants and beaches within easy walking distance. Books, CDs provided but you can still bring your own. Bring a DVD or two in case you get a rainy day. Very secure, very hot water, powerful little A/C and plenty of fans, ceiling and otherwise. You won't be too hot. It's really nice having a full kitchen and refrigerator. You won't need much from the grocery store. You can't get much closer to the Redhook ferry and you'll want to visit St John. If you have time check out the BVIs. Virgin Gorda is nice, but I prefer Jost. The only missing item(very minor) was replaced immediately after I sent an e-mail to the owner. Owner is very prompt and pleasant in all contacts. This condo is one of the best values you will find on the island. You could spend thousands and stay at the Ritz or you could stay here for a fraction of the cost and drive 5 minutes to that very same beach and look at all the suckers. General St Thomas vacation suggestions: Leave work at work and home at home. Take off your watch when you check in. Island time is very real. It's not a laziness thing, it's a cultural thing. It's part of the island lifestyle so get used to it, join in and pretend you're a local for the week. Leave your cell phone at the condo one day to see how it feels. ALWAYS greet people (Good Night does not mean someone is going to bed.

Our stay at The Paradise was good. The condo was cozy and nice. This was our first time staying somewhere other than a hotel so it was definitely different. The condo has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The view is beautiful! However, Point Pleasant leaves a bit to be desired. It tends to be very quiet on the property which is good but the property has not been well maintained at all. The landscaping is overgrown, there is litter randomly throughout the property...it was not what we expected. Again, the condo was very nice, I have nothing negative to say about that specific condo. Another thing to remember is the steep incline at the property. Upon arrival, we were dropped by the taxi driver at the lobby with our two 50 pound suitcases and carry-on luggage. When we informed them where we were staying they informed us where it was and we needed to walk. We were not given shuttle service because we were staying in a private unit. So, we had to walk down a steep hill and up a steep hill to get to our condo. Not something we enjoyed after travelling such a far distance. When we asked the front desk a question about taxi service to get to Red Hook as our information was packed away, we were informed again that they couldn't help us because we were staying in a private condo. Luckily we met Shawn with Morningstar Charters which is not affiliated with Point Pleasant but is on the property and he was very helpful. Apparently, Point Pleasant is going to be under new management due to the poor management of the property but we were informed it will still be the same managment just under a different name. Thank you Sylvie and Daniel for allowing us to stay at your little piece of paradise. Again, we enjoyed the condo, just not the property.
Owner response:We have a very good manager in St-Thomas who takes care of our condo and of everything that our guests could need. She is friendly and very helpful. Daniel and Sylvie

We really enjoyed our stay at "Paradise". It was and had everything we hoped for in our vacation rental. We were especially surpised to find beach toys at the unit which made our 21/2 year old very happy. Daniel and Sylvie (the owners) are a pleasure to work with and provided alot of helpful information prior to our stay and then when arriving at the condo there was a guest book with even more information. The 2 restaurants at the resort are very good. We especially liked Coki Beach and Coral World because it is a short walk from the unit. All in all I highly recommend staying at Paradise - it is clean, beautifully decorated and affordable.

We really enjoyed our stay in your condo at Point Pleasant. The grounds are extremely lush and tropical, but you have to be ready to walk up and down steps because Point Pleasant is on a steep hillside overlooking a beautiful bay. The condo had everything we needed. Gorgeous St John and British Virgin Islands views from both restaurants and two pools. Sugar Beach on the premises is a beautiful little beach while snorkeling paradise Coki Beach is a very short walk. Stunning Lindquist Beach is only a 1.5 mile drive. We checked out the other places we were thinking about staying and we were happy we selected Point Pleasant because it seems more homey and relaxing than many of the large fancy resorts that we have visited in the past. Rent a car so you can visit other St. Thomas sites. Point Pleasant is a short three mile drive to the St. John car ferry in Red Hook.

This was a fabulous spot to stay in St. Thomas!! The condo is clean, nicely decorated, well equipped for meals and has a beautiful view of the bay and the ocean. The property is quiet and relaxed...we felt at home right away! It is a short walk to Coki beach and our favorite, Sugar Beach! If you want something casual and fun, just walk down to Fungi's for a cool drink or a caribbean meal right on the water. If you want something more upscale, the menu at Agavé which is also located on the resort, is delicious! We enjoyed breakfast every morning and several candlelit dinners on the large deck overlooking the bay which is beautifully lit from the boats, stars and other properties. The condo is a very short drive (under 5 minutes) to one of the most stunning beaches we have ever seen called Smith Bay. I highly recommend this location to anyone who enjoys magnificent views when they wake up and several beaches within walking distance. The owners were a pleasure to work with and made our experience stress-free.
Owner response:It is always a pleasure to help our guests having wonderful vacations, we love to take care of our guests.

My friends and I rented this condo for our annual reunion and the place was exactly what we needed it to be. The nearby beach cove may leave a little to be desired, but we had no problem getting a $4 taxi to the a nearby beach which was amazing. The property manager and the owners could not have been more accommodating. At our option, they had our kitchen stocked before we even arrived. Fungi's, the nearby restaurant on the water, has a nice relaxing waterfront location restricted to only nearby tenants. The island bar/restaurant very much exceeded our expectations given the kitchen's rustic appearance. All in all, it was a great value for the price.
Owner response:Pineapple beach is not always cleaned because of a closed hotel on that beach, but it is a good place to relax, you will almost be alone. Sugar beach is better, small but really nice. Our favorite beaches are Coki Beach (10 minutes walk) and Lindquist Beach at Smith Bay (about 1.5 miles).

What a terrific place!! I purchaed 2.5 weeks for my parents as a Christmas present & they fell in love with the place! My folks report that...The view is spectacular & the deck is a great place to relax, daydream & enjoy. Condo is nicely decorated & has lots of little extras. They appreciated the guest book with all the details like beach info, dining, etc. Close to shopping & dining. They loved that they could be in Red Hook in 10 minutes and ferry to St John, etc. For me, dealing with the owners was a pleasure & they made it easy and were very helpful. I rent often for vacations and get aways & happily say they are one of the best owners!

This condo was actually as beautiful as its listing description. It was particularly clean, well-supplied and thoughtfully decorated. Most important for us, it offered tranquility and privacy as well as beautiful views of St. Thomas's eastern coast. The owners were wonderfully helpful, efficient and friendly. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. We passed an extremely relaxing week at Point Pleasant where you have all the advantages of a resort but also a great deal of privacy. This condo is perfect for a couple who just wants to enjoy the island and the gorgeous nearby beaches without the noise and pressures of the "partying crowd." The location is terrific and we enjoyed the resort restaurants as well.
Owner response:We bought that condo because of its privacy and tranquility. It is very important for us that our guests enjoy their vacation. We take care of them as we wish they would take care of us. Daniel and Sylvie
