Situated on a lagoon which glitters through almost all the windows, this condo is an oasis. Beyond the veil of trees that line the far side of the lagoon, one of the Port Royal golf courses can be seen. Half of the back porch is screened, while the other open; both overlook the lagoon with its enchanted habitat of egrets, herons and other wildlife. Within a hundred feet, is a barbeque grill and very private fenced in pool and jacuzzi.
The condo has a open and spacious living area including a full kitchen, dinette which seats six, breakfast bar which seats four and family room with wet bar. This room is lined with windows to take advantage of the lovely view. Cooking items and dishes for eight are included should you choose to eat in. The den is generous in space and seating, with a cable TV, DVD, and a CD player. Free WiFi is available also. Located in the den, is the sofa bed if needed. The master bedroom is ample with cable TV (as the guest room) and ceiling fan. Either bedroom can be configured into 2 beds or one king/double bed. Both full baths both have generous vanity space plus Jacuzzi tubs.
There is a storage shed for beach chairs, coolers or overflow items on the front porch and a balcony off the guest bedroom facing the front. Bike racks can be found just off the parking area.
Within the condo property is another pool, besides the smaller one near this unit, that is large and more lively, even having a snack bar. Your stay also entitles you to one hour per day play at the Port Royal Racquet club, on the premises. It includes 10 clay courts, four hard courts and 2 grass courts plus available teaching pros. Also with the condo, comes the four free golf passes a day at any of the three Port Royal courses or discounted rates at Shipyard, Oyster Reef and Palmetto Hall Courses. There is also on property a bocci court and even a lone basketball court to entertain. If that isn't enough there is a five-minute walk to the Westin Hotel (beach also) for more pools, Jacuzzi, gym and spa. Classes are given at the Westin in toning, pilates, yoga etc. Some of these are even held on the beach. If it is relaxing at the pool with drinks or lunch, then the Westin is the complete service there, with ping pong tables for the more energetic. Any charges at the Westin, you may put on a tab which you pay upon leaving.
And, of course, there is the beach, long and lovely, with chairs and umbrellas to rent or just your own fun to concoct.
It is, after all, an oasis.

Why the Owner Chose Ocean Palms
Michael and I bought part ownership of this condo after renting one in this area that was dark and closed in. We loved the openness of this space and the beautiful views. Plus, we appreciate the amenities of free golf and of the Westin facilities. I take yoga and pilates there, and yoga they often do on the beach. Michael grew up the beach and has fond memories of it. Me, I love the waves of the ocean and the perpetual beauty, even in the winter which is quite nice and private. The beach, five minutes walk from the condo, is immaculate and something we walk on each morning and evening. We love it here!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Our condo offers four rounds of golf a day, with the cost being cart fee for each person. We love the Westin facilities, beach, tennis biking, or the great restaurants and jazz clubs. Then there is just the enjoying of cocktails on our balcony and getting fresh fish from Barnacle Bills and cooking it on the grill. Or in winter, after a walk beside the ever-changing ocean, how nice it is to to sit in the pub at the Westin, which overlooks the sea, and have a beer and a bite to eat.

Michael is a businessman and I am a designer/mother/writer. We both love the soothing beauty of the beach and we enjoy playing golf. Also the beauty of the land in Hilton Head is a constant fascination with all the wildlife it houses. This has become a place of relaxation for us. Our college age kids love it too. The oldest has even used the shuttle to get about when a car or bike is not available.

After a very long and snowy winter in upstate New York we spent a glorious week at this fabulous condo within the Port Royal Plantation. The unit is particulalry lovely as it is an end unit on the second floor of the Ocean Palms residents. It offers both a screened porch and deck that makes you feel like you are living in the trees but where you can also watch from a safe distance an aligator make his way through a lagoon down below. The furnisihings are great, both bathrooms offer a spa. The beach is just a very short walk away. Having the full amenities of the Westin Resort including the golf make this a terrific value and great vacation. We are counting the days until we can return

Our family had a wonderful time at your villa Cynthia. The location was great. Close to the pool, close to the beach. Esp. enjoyed the quiet surroundings. We'd like to return in the future.
