Why the Owner Chose Ellijay
Absolutely the best location in the North Georgia Mountains. Close to Ellijay and Blue Ridge, with a beautiful, stocked trout river right outside the door. Couldn't ask for anything else.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Relaxation mainly, large fenced yard for the doggies, and fly-fishing a few steps away!

Just what we wanted!

My husband, our yellow labrador and I needed a weekend get-away and this was just the ticket! Tasteful inside, rustic outside and the whole yard almost completely fenced so Joe the lab could wander happily (renters beware that the front gate is hard to latch - have to lift it up to latch it and fiddle with it a bit). The downstairs bed was super comfy with nice linens (we didn't use the bedroom or bath upstairs but it sure looked nice too!) and we kept the windows open while we slept so we could hear the river music. We also kept the bathroom window opened so we could hear the gentle wasterfall from the koi pond. Nice screened porch overlooking the river, which is only about 10 steps away from the screen door and the river itself was about 30 feet across with nothing on the otherside but nature - so pretty. The homes on both sides of the cabin are VERY close, and I thought that would be a problem as far as privacy and noise, but it wasn't a problem at all. There are enough trees to obscure the view and the hot tub was very private too. We spent a lot of time in that hot tub - nice! They had it warmed-up and ready for us upon arrival - it doesn't have too many jets and they aren't very strong jets, but it was clean and relaxing. We loved the fire pit area which is right on the river bank. My husband fixed us breakfast both mornings and a steak dinner on that fire pit! Town is so close but you'd never know it. The whole experience was wonderful and we highly recommend for a couple or two. The management company, Sliding Rock Cabins, is very efficient and informative and do a great job so I will always seek out their properties.
