Our Riverbend Townhome is a unique, 2 person, upscale getaway located in the laid back little town of South Fork, Colorado!! Your flagstone patio is ony 10 feet from the beautiful Rio Grande River. The property was built in 2006 and has everything necessary to make you feel at home.
The golf is as good as it gets and the clubhouse has a warm and friendly feeling to it. Our Rio Grande Club Membership passes to the renter for free golf (for 2 people) while you stay here. You pay only the cart fees like I do as a member. You have complete club privileges while staying in our home. You can also walk from your townhome for 11/2 miles of free, private, gold medal fishing along the golf course(fishing license required!).
There are two viewing balconys on the home. The front balcony is off the master bedroom and faces the Northeast. You can sit and have your morning coffee while watching the golfers go by on # 1 and #2 holes on the beautiful Rio Grande Golf Club. The rear balcony is off the upstairs living room and looks down the River and up the Mountain Valley.
You can watch Deer crossing the River in the mornings and evenings. Elk is in the area and even Moose have been seen!! We have seen lots of Elk and Deer but never a Moose. We have spent both the winters and summers in the home and really don't have a favorite season.
If you want to eat out instead of cooking in the house, there are several excellent restaurants ranging from cheap to expensive. There is a list of restaurants and types of food served listed in the main guidebook in the house. The food is good at the Rio Grande Club and we urge you to eat there at least once while you stay here.
Our favorite thing to do sometimes is just sit outside on the patio and listen to the river and animals. If you want to get away from the big city life for a week, this is the place. PS..you can wear jeans anywhere!! Casual is a way of life here..Good luck!!

Why the Owner Chose South Fork
The home is only a 10 hr drive from our house in Oklahoma. There is every type sport you can imagine within 30 miles of this town. Golf, Fishing, Skiing, Hot Air ballooning, Hiking, Hunting, and some of the best food we have ever had within 30 miles of the Townhome.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We have the river (Rio Grande) out our back door and out our window in our bedroom we have a beautiful view of Number one and two on the Rio Grande Country Club golf course. Mountain views are out every direction. You can't have much more in the way of climate, scenery & things to do than this location offers.
Your Townhome is just off County Road 15.. right across from the Golf Course... Located just to the south on the River!!
Clubhouse is at the top of the Hill. Follow the signs....
Fishing lodge is on the River by the golf course.. Very rustic with huge fireplace!!

My wife & I have been coming from hot, humid Oklahoma to this part of Colorado since 1980. We owned property in Pagosa Springs but after the Rio Grand Club was built we started staying in South Fork. We love the golf course and the Wolf Creek Ski area is only 17 miles away. After staying in this Townhome several times in the last few years we decided to buy it and join the Rio Grande Country Club. We intend to rent it out a few weeks a year before we retire completely to it for the summer months. The membership passes to the renter for free golf & private fishing in the river. You pay only the cart fees like I do as a member. You have complete club privileges while staying in our house. Please enjoy it and come back soon..Thanks!!
