We rented this Sandy River Cabin over the weekend and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. We often have trouble sleeping away from home, usually the beds are not as comfortable as ours back home etc. Not the case here... The queen beds at this cabin were some of the most comfortable we have slept in. We made S'mores in the fire pit next to the River, we watched movies (from their selection), we made fantastic meals in their kitchen and played some of the many games they have at the gorgeous dinner table. We took the kids to Government camp (15 minutes away) for some tubing and had lunch at the Rendezvous Tap Room (yummy). We had four adults and four children (ages 2-5) We had more than enough room and the cabin was perfect for all of us. We did buy some "kid cups" and left them for the next family to use. I think it's important to mention, that the pictures and descriptions for this property are spot on (actually they don't fully show how nice this cabin is) which I have found to be hit or miss with other rentals on VBRO. We can't wait to be regulars at this Sandy River Cabin.

This home has so much to offer. It has a generous open floor plan where a family can get together and relax in a beautiful mountain setting with an amazing view of the river. Our visit was in January and we loved waking up to the sound of the river and fresh fallen snow. The bedrooms are extra comfortable with plenty of room, especially the master bedroom. The owners have certainly made it a place where you will want to come back again and again. Truly a wonderful setting to get away from it all with family or friends.

Family here from South Carolina and we wanted them to see some of Oregon's beauty. Sitting on the deck was amazing as well as the bonfire near the river. Beautiful home with everything you could need for a relaxing, fun time.

Our family of four (with two teenagers) wanted somewhere outside of Portland to enjoy the beauty of Oregon and we certainly found it at this property! The river view is fantastic and the sound of the rushing water was so nice to wake up to. The house itself was everything that was listed in the description and nicer than any house we will ever live in! The owners were prompt with email replies and very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend this property! (We would also recommend River Drifters in Maupin for any whitewater rafting - very professional and fun.)

My husband and I wanted a special vacation for our son and his friends to celebrate their recent high school graduation. We couldn't have planned better. The cabin was everything we could have dreamed of and then some! Snowboarding at Timberline Lodge was a less than 30 minute drive from door to door. Fly fishing in the Deschutes River was awesome. Portland was beautiful and clean. We would love to do it all over again!!!! Thank you!!!!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at this cabin and had a wonderful time. We were looking for a quiet, secluded place in the mountains, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. After driving around the area we concluded that we lucked out with this cabin, it was the nicest in the area with the best spot on the river. There are neighbors (so not completely secluded), but only one other home can be seen from inside the cabin - through the kitchen window - and it was mostly unoccupied during our stay. The pictures of this cabin, though accurate, don't do it justice; it is really well constructed and decorated nicely. We will definitely be back.

We spent a wonderful three nights in this lovely cabin. It is just as gorgeous as the pictures show and the view of the river is amazing! The cabin is very clean, stocked and well kept. We were lucky and it had just snowed - that was a real treat! It was just beautiful!! This cabin is a great "homebase" if you plan to visit any of the mountains ski resorts. We were able to take the kids snowboarding at Timberline and to White Water West Sno Park to sled another day and its just a quick drive up the mountain! We enjoyed the kitchen and great room. The large open floor plan and the great selection of fun family board games made for great evenings. We hope to visit again! Thank you Daniel and Mary for sharing your special cabin in the woods.

We had a wonderful stay at your Sandy River home. The windows are so large and really bring the indoors in. We had a relaxing stay, never moving our car for the duration of our visit. Our kids really loved the fire pit, right by the river, that we roasted marshmallows in. They were thrilled to find a salamander on one of our walks, and our son caught a small fish with his hands (he couldn't ask for anything more). The home was clean, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked and the fireplace is gorgeous. Thanks for a terrific getaway! We hope to return soon.

For only a 35-40 minute drive we felt like we were so far away from the business of the city. My husband and I were instantly relaxed once we walked into this beautiful home. It just felt like ours, not someone else’s house we were in. You can see the river at all times; whether you are watching a movie, playing games, or cooking/eating. Directions for working appliances and information on the areas outdoor activities like the hiking trails were very clear and easy to find. The fireplace heated up the whole house in no time! We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Mary and Daniel. We will definitely be in contact with you again!

Light, beautiful house in the woods with a riverview from almost every room, and the quiet babble of the river for atmosphere. The kitchen is well supplied to cook any dish, with a unique wood dining room table to eat on. We enjoyed ourselves in the relaxed surroundings. The wood beams, cabinets, and trimwork were outstanding.

This house sits on a beautiful, private site. The cabin is more like a quality built home - the kitchen is absolutely fantastic with hardwoods, granite and tile flooring! The owners have spared no expense to make this vacation home special and comfortable for guests. The cabin is near recreation, nice restaurants and shopping to make your stay more enjoyable. We have stayed here a number of weekends and believe it to be a perfect family getaway - only 40 minutes from Portland but miles away from everyday living. The views from the house will lift your spirits!

We had a great time at the Sandy River Front Cabin. This was the best cabin we've stayed at here in Brightwood and we've rented cabins for the past four years. It has a very open, woodsy feeling to it, with two enclosed bedrooms and an upper loft area, which would be great for kids. The kitchen is open and airy, with a large fridge, gas stove, and plenty of room to serve a large meal to a hungry ski crowd. The view out back is great. Best of all, the rate was the most affordable we could find. Mary and Daniel were quick responders with e-mails and setting up the rental was easy to do. It's a great option for a small family retreat or a weekend away in the woods.
