It was completely renovated in 2008 with a special decorator's touch and will comfortably accommodate 4. It features a living area with a big screen TV, satellite, Wi-Fi connection, quiet reading loft, a comfortable lounging area and private deck. The newly remodeled kitchen is fully equipped and includes all cooking utensils. There is also a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Private parking is provided at the front door; however vehicles are not needed at this location. The location is extremely convenient to downtown Telluride. Telluride may be small, secluded and remote but it is big on outdoor activities, the arts and restaurants. Just out the door you will find skiing/snowboarding access, ice-skating, golfing, bike rentals, 4X4 jeeping, fishing, horseback riding, rock-climbing, river running, outfitters, and so much more. Also check the town park festivals, art galleries, shops, theatre, historic opera house, museum, library, grocery stores, and an amazing array of fabulous restaurants. Numerous hiking and biking trails such as Judd Weibe Trail and Bear Creek Trail are a few steps away. Bridal Veil Falls, Imogene Pass and Black Bear Pass are also nearby.
If you're headed to Mountain Village, the convenient gondola provides free transportation into the Mountain Village core. If you just want to relax and enjoy the area natural beauty, kick back and breathe deep.
Town Park is the gathering place for many festivals in the summer season and is an easy walk. Stroll along the quaint River Trail or through the peaceful neighborhood of historic Victorian homes. If you happen to be a person who may not enjoy walking or are impaired, there is the free Galloping Goose bus departing approximately every 15 minutes from the courthouse. It makes a full loop through town.

Gondola, Coonskin lift 7, Lift 8 and the most beautiful place you will ever ski - just a fact
From fishing in the kids pond in Town Park to fishing here along the valley river to fishing down valley in Placerville: it is all good. My favorite fishing holes are on the Dolores River south of Rico and the easily fished (stocked) Alta Lake, Woods Lake, Miramonte Lake & Trout Lake.

I have worked for over 34 years in the drilling industry, mostly abroad. Finding this box canyon was like finding the end of the rainbow. I love the solitude of the San Juan Mountains. To me Telluride is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Come check it out for yourself.

Tom and Marie were gracious hosts and made an extra effort for our late arrival. The guest house was spotless and lovely! We felt completely comfortable. Being two blocks from Colorado Avenue (Main Street) was so convenient. A great location and a great value. We look forward to coming again. Thank you! Larry and Carol

We rented the Guest House for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in June and found it to be close enough to the park and the main drag to be convenient, but far enough to give us a welcome break. The Guest House was spotless, well equipped, and tastefully decorated. We did not need our car at all except for excursions up into the mountains. There is a trailhead to excellent hiking just a couple of blocks out the door. Tom and Marie were very helpful and shared maps and ideas with us. We will definitely recommend this outstanding property to friends and think it is also close enough to the gondola that it would be great to use for a ski trip to Telluride as well, particularly if you prefer being walking distance to an authentic town over being in a ski village.

Super time in Telluride!! Marie and Tom's guest house was great. We'll definitely stay here again when we return. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find the fridge stocked with goodies for us (plate with salami/cheese, some soda cans and water bottles, fresh squeezed O.J., crackers and cookies, apples, a package of coffee and a carton of ice cream for the kids). We parked our car in the private parking spot and never got in it again until it was time to leave. Town, shopping and all the restaurants are only one block away. We walked back and forth into town several times a day. We also walked the short two and a half blocks to the Gondola each day---and walked back too after a full day of skiing. Super convenient location!!! We had no complaints from our teenagers (and that's a big deal). The house was newly renovated, well stocked, cute and cozy. The kids watched movies from a stack of DVDs provided in the closet. It was nice knowing the owners were nearby just in case---and, "just in case" happened. There was a widespread blackout in town (luckily only lasted about 2 hrs.) and we were provided candles and a flashlight when we knocked on the Thomas's door. They must have shoveled the porch and steps each time it snowed---we know we did not shovel---yet miraculously the snow was gone each morning. Thanks for everything!!

I am so happy to say I would stay here again. The house is beautiful and the setting is amazing. In addition to this wonderful house you are within easy walking distance of all the downtown activities. You will have private off the street parking which is rare in Telluride. If you chose you could actually walk to the gondola that takes you up the mountain for shopping, dining and skiing.
