Enjoy spectacular views of the Blue Pacific (one block away) from our artistically decorated 35th floor corner unit. From our living room and bedroom, the ocean can be seen stretching across the horizon high above the pitched copper steeple of St. Augustine Church. There are whitewater views from our galley kitchen, bedroom, and living room. Queen's surf break, Canoe surf break, the beach and palm trees are visible. There are also eastern views of the mountains, golf course, and canal, and a peak a boo view of Diamond Head from the bedroom & kitchen. The corner unit faces a northwest angle and benefits from refreshing trade winds blowing from the mountains and golf course to the east.
Since you're facing west from the kitchen and bedroom and northwest from the living room, you do not have the morning sun waking you up and this condo has cross ventilation. The air conditioner is rarely used.

Our condo is large, comfortable, spotless and private. The corner unit is the largest floor plan at the Waikiki Banyan and has a galley kitchen, separated from the living room. Breakfast on USABLE LANAI (balcony). Full kitchen including pots, pans, cutlery. FREE WIRELESS INTERNET (WIFI). All linens/towels provided. Beach towels. Laundry room is just across the hallway. Phone with free local calls. Alarm clock/radio. New high definition LCD flat screen 26" Sanyo TV. ONE FREE SECURED COVERED PARKING SPACE in the Waikiki Banyan parking structure.
Our Waikiki Banyan condo is owner occupied part of the year, and we welcome vacationers who will take good care of it. We installed a gorgeous floor of travertine marble, repainted the walls with decorator colors, and installed double French doors between the living room and the bedroom (see photos). Our corner unit has a king sized bed in the bedroom, a queen sofa bed, and a portable fouton bed.
The Waikiki Banyan is a fun resort ONE BLOCK from the warm sands and blue water of the world's most famous beach. Soak up the sun, stroll on ocean board walk, swim in warm ocean, snorkel across from the Zoo in fish preserve (some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii), surf, or just relax on the Waikiki Banyan's comfortable lounge chairs on recreation deck near pool or in shade. Nearby churches. The huge recreation deck on the sixth floor of the Waikiki Banyan offers a large freshwater pool, jet spa, free tennis, sauna, gas barbecues, children's playground and take out/snack bar. $110/night for longer low season stays.
The Waikiki Banyan is unique in that it offers units with kitchens in upscale Waikiki in a resort environment at affordable prices. Laundry room on every floor. NO PETS OR SMOKING PLEASE.
Making it exceptional, our unit probably has the best ocean view at the Waikiki Banyan (at the west end of Tower I), for which hotels would charge a small fortune per night, and is the largest floorplan at the Banyan. What's a vacation in Hawaii without panoramic ocean views, watching surfers from your living room couch, and spectacular sunsets! Each Blue Pacific view is like a unique work of art!
Bus stop one block away from Waikiki Banyan. Ala Muana shopping center is 10 minutes away by bus. You don't need to rent a car. Take Reliable or Robert's shuttle from airport to Waikiki Banyan ($18 round trip). Mini mart & snack bar in building. Walk to the Food Pantry supermarket at 2370 Kuhio Avenue. Walk to Parkshore Starbucks across from beach. Longer walk to new Safeway at 888 Kapahulu Avenue.
If you want a restful vacation or are into water sports, you want a comfortable, fully equipped, luxurious condo with a full sized kitchen, AND you want ocean views, our large corner unit is ideal for you. Aloha.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2007
I have an MBA from UCLA in international finance and for three years was employed by Credit Suisse, Los Angeles. Subsequently, I was employed by Twentieth Century Fox Film Studios as Assistant to the Controller. I've been in all facets of the real estate business thirty years. I hold a Hawaiian Broker-Salesperson License with Faith Naluai LLC. (808-395-0127). I've been married for 25 years and have two college age sons. My wife is from Calgary, Canada, and is a registered nurse. She also has a Master's in Health Education from Loma Linda University. I particularly enjoy snorkeling and swimming, which I do daily. I don't particularly like driving when on vacation, so the Waikiki Banyan, being one block from the beach, and two blocks from great snorkeling with restaurants and shopping everywhere is ideal.
Why the Owner Chose Waikiki Banyan
We bought this unit for its ocean view and because it is a large, corner unit with cross ventilation. In 1962, as a ten year old, I stayed at the Princess Kaluani Hotel on the 12th floor (I believe) and was astounded at the incredible ocean view from the hotel room. Nearly half a century later, we bought this unit because of its incredible 35th floor ocean views, as well as its views of the mountains, canal and golf course. My wife is from Calgary, Canada. We've lived in Colorado and California. We like the fact that the unit faces northwest, so there is no morning sun waking us up and this condo does not get the hot southern sun during the day. On most afternoons and early evenings the Trade Winds blow, so we don't have to use the air conditioner. We bought at the Waikiki Banyan because it is only one block to the beach and two blocks to a huge park (Kapiolani Park), away from the congestion, in southern Waikiki. We enjoy snorkeling and there is a large fish preserve across the street from the park with a beautiful reef and all types of tropical fish. The Banyan is a resort property with incredible amenities.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
I just returned from staying in our condo last week. Sometimes in the morning I take a 35 minute walk to the Lighthouse at the point on Diamond Head. The walk is along the ocean boardwalk, the Gold Coast, a quaint residential neighborhood, and up Diamond Head, bordering a scenic road. The view is spectacular. You can see great beaches with surfers below you. There are pathways down to the beautiful beaches. Every afternoon I go snorkeling either in the fish preserve by the zoo and the park or on the reef to the north of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It is an incredible, relaxing experience. The great advantage of the Waikiki Banyan is that it is two blocks from a huge undeveloped lush green park area.

I just spent 7 days at your condo and was very happy with the property. The views were amazing and I spent many hours on the lanai. The condo's travertine marble floors were very nice and the bed was comfortable. The stove was a little hard to cook on as it is electric and all the burners were slanted but we managed. The property came with items we could use at the beach which was helpful. The beach was only a 3 minute walk and there were many store and restaurants near by. I would highly recommend this property!
Owner response:Glad you enjoyed your stay. We'll have our handyman examine the burners on stove at the next vacancy. With the weight of a pan or skillet they should adjust to a level position. When no weight is on them they tilt up slightly (designed this way?). Please come again. Aloha, Michael

We spent 12 nights in the gorgeous corner unit on the 35th floor. The unit was fully self contained with a full kitchen, bath and shower, a king sized bed and a fold out bed in the lounge. The views from the lanai were amazing. The unit was very presented, and was clean and tidy. The unit was "as promoted" on the VRBO web page. The Banyan has a pool deck on the 6th floor which includes snack bar, pool, spa pool, BBQ's and a tennis court. These facilities were all well maintained. The owner Michael and his management team were all very helpful, and great to deal with.

We recently spent 4 nights in this great condo that is very reasonable priced. We were amazed at how spacious it was and loved the new marble floors. The king size bed was very comfortable. It has the most awesome views from everywhere within the condo and on the lanai. You can see the ocean, diamond head and overlook the city. The city view at night is amazing! It was close to everything we needed. We walked to the beach several times daily. There are plenty of restaurants and lots of shopping just blocks away. There is even a small quick shop for necessities on the bottom floor next to the elevators. Due to our short stay we did tours instead of renting a car, but the parking pass would easily save you $25/day. Michael was great to work with. We would highly recommend this unit if you plan to go to Honolulu and stay near Waikiki Beach.

Unit was everything described and more. Clean, well kept, attention to detail. Very comfortable, away from the extra noise of the beach and yet an easy 3 minute walk. Restaurants, coffee shops, shopping easily accessible and a wonderful view. Will be returning again, and again.

Breathtaking views, above the noise but in the heart of it all.

To begin with, Michael, the owner is very helpful, honest & professional. Making our arrangements with him was both easy & a joy. We stayed 10 days and throughly enjoyed every moment. We were blown away by the breathtaking views in this 35th floor corner unit. Being that high up the night-time noise of Waikiki is a hum below instead of the usual city noise. Also being that high up allowed us to leave the windows and lanai open to the lovely trade winds. We never used the air conditioning & it was delightful. Every morning we had our coffee on the lanai and watched the surfers from our unobstructed view. The lanai offers a beach-ocean view, a city view and a mountain view. I could have sat out there all day enjoying the peacefulness in the heart of it all. One other great thing about this unit compared to others is that there are real doors to the bedroom. This was especially nice since our bedtime & our teenagers is vastly different. Our daughter found the sofa bed comfortable and our bed in the bedroom was wonderful. There were ample towels and kitchen supplies as well as beach chairs, mats & even a surprise boogie board! The high speed internet was great and so was the free parking. The Waikiki Banyan is perfectly situated near the Diamond Head end of the strip but not in the thick of the noise. It's location, set back one block from the beach on Kuhio, is also convenient since Kuhio is one of very few two-way streets in Waikiki. This makes any driving or ground transportation you use much easier. The building is clean, bright & secure. The bank of 4 elevators are smooth & quick. Each floor has a laundry room and a handy trash chute. The pool and grounds on the 6th floor are well maintained and very nice. We would happily stay there again.

Wonderful unit, large space to spread out and the king bed was very comfortable!!! Fabulous view, quiet up above all the street noise, close to the beach and zoo, park and restaurants. We cooked lots of our meals and used BBQ at pool area, fully stocked kitchen with dishes pots pans etc., great pool lots of sun, shade available but always a sunny spot to sit in, many hotel pools in Waikiki are shaded but this one always had a sunny spot.My daughter had fun playing on the playground near pool area.New elevators so it was fast getting to and from room. No complaints at all. Michael was very helpful ensuring all went smoothly for us. We will definitely stay here again.
