This beautiful waterfront home was built in 2004. It has approximately 2000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. The house is a great blend of modern conveniences and homey comfort. The home can comfortably sleep 6 people in the 3 bedrooms plus there is a pullout sofa in the family room. It has a fully screened in heated pool and hot tub and you can see the water from every room in the house. A local realtor calls the home "a 9 1/2 out of 10 and I can't even think of what I would do to make it a 10"!
The large master bedroom has a king bed, two walk-in closets, and a very large bathroom with double sinks, large walk-in shower, and a jetted tub. The sliding glass door from the master leads out to the screened in lanai and pool.
The second bedroom also has a king size bed and a sliding glass door that leads directly to the lanai and pool. The third bedroom has a queen size bed with direct access to the second bathroom.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans, as does the family room and kitchen. The garage is an oversized 2 ½ car garage. The family room has 2 large sliding glass doors that can be completely pushed back to leave the room wide open to the screened in lanai and pool area.
The open kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is bar seating for three on the back side of the sink. There is a separate eating area for four off the kitchen and a formal dining area as well. The family room is very comfortable with a sofa (pullout) and two reclining leather chairs. For your entertainment needs, there is a large television with Dish Network and a DVD / CD player and a stereo system. The stereo also connects to speakers on the lanai for enjoying music there as well.
The home is only 2 houses from the end of the cul-de-sac so there is very little traffic and a lot of peace and quiet. The lanai and pool provide a quiet and relaxing view of the canal, typically interrupted only by the occasional boat or fish jumping. If you stay and watch long enough, you may even see a dolphin cruising through the canal.
Fisherman’s Village, located on Charlotte Harbor, has lots of shops and restaurants and is only a 5 minute drive or 8 minute boat ride away. Charlotte Harbor offers world class fishing for Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Trout, and much more. The Gulf of Mexico is a pleasant 40 minute boat ride southwest down the harbor.
“Downtown” Punta Gorda has a quaint small town feel without the crowds and traffic. There are lots of shops, restaurants, galleries and pubs as well. There a several great parks nearby including two that are directly on the water and a short drive or bike ride from the house. And naturally, golfing is available on many local public and private courses.
AIRPORTS: Less than 45 minutes to Regional South West Airport (RSW) in Ft. Myers or 1 hour to the Tampa International Airport (TPA). Direct Air also flies into Punta Gorda's Charlotte County Airport (PGD) from select cities.

Why the Owner Chose Punta Gorda Isles
Even though you can fly into Fort Myers or Sarasota (both less than 50 miles away), we typically drive from the Atlanta area. It is about a 9 hour drive but that allows us to be on our own time instead of the airlines. There is also a new airline flying directly into Punta Gorda from a few cities.
Several great restaurants and lots of fun shops. Also fishing and boating charters.
Quaint park with a small beach, boat launch, animal sanctuary, and a really interesting nature trail over the water.

We bought our vacation home in Punta Gorda in 2005. We really fell in love with the area after considering the panhandle of Florida first. The neighborhood is very quiet and the little town of Punta Gorda is really charming. We go down from our primary home in Atlanta as often as possible and really enjoy the weather (of course), the boating, and the many local parks. As an added bonus, we have made new friends with our spectacular neighbors.

We enjoyed our stay last winter very much and would certainly recommend this vacation home. It was a little bit of paradise watching the boats pass by and we even saw dolphins jumping in the water. While the house was in a quiet area, we were minutes away from many excellent restaurants and there were special events happening in downtown Punta Gorda every weekend. We were also close to many golf courses and the shopping was great. The house was beautifully furnished and well equipped, the pool fantastic and the owner very helpful. I would highly recommend this vacation property.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We recently rented this VRBO in Punta Gorda Isles for the month of April. I searched and read about all the properties there but this one stood out. The house was a very nice surprise. It was roomy and professionally decorated. The pool and hot tub in the spacious lanai were such an intergral part of the house. The gourmet kitchen was beatiful as well as wonderfully appointed. The master bedroom and spacious bath were a real luxury. The location was great. The value of such nice accomodations was better than expected. When the own said a realtor had told him it was a 9 and 1/2 on a scale of ten, I'd have to dissagree. It was a ten!
