Strange, Architects, to design a mansion in the Greek revival style, and the results are truly remarkable. In 1992, H. Deane Pierce Associates and Pierce and Winn, Architects planned and oversaw a complete restoration.
Approaching the front of the majestic three story home, one is immediately reminded of the lovely 18th century mansions in Maryland and the Carolinas. Exquisite 22-foot columns are crowned with Corinthian capitals decorated with stylized acanthus leaves. The carefully balanced symmetry of the entrance is completed by two beveled and leaded oval windows.
