Just returned from a three day weekend stay at the lake home. Everything was just as promised on the listing. There is no hotel that can ever substitute for the good old fashioned southern hospitality. The home is well stocked, comfortable, very clean, the view of the lake is beautiful, and Thomasville is just an all around very nice town. I wish we could have stayed longer. As a seasoned vacation home renter, I recommend this lake home for your next visit to Thomasville or the Tallahassee area.

What a wonderful rental!!! We were soooooooooooooo happy with the rental and we look forward to returning for our other shows. The house was beautiful and very well equipped!! No more hotels for us during show times. Evenings were relaxing by the lake and fishing all we wanted!! This was a BIG PLUS as my sister who came with us to work also loves to fish and she was in heaven! This is definitely the way to go!

Our family really enjoyed the house on the lake. Fishing in the lake and feeding the ducks and geese were definitely highlights of our trip. The swing by the lake offered a great view of the lake - especially as the sun was rising. We were able to take some fabulous pictures. Great place to relax, recharge and reconnect with your family.

Walden Family Reunion weekend of July 8th, 2011

This was the most memorable time since I've been coming to Thomasville with my husband the last 15 yrs. We rented this house and I tell you just like home. The owners are wonderful. God Bless them! They went over and beyond. The house is in immaculate condition and has all the comforts of home. Especially if you have a family. I would recommend this for any family that just wants to get away. Being on the lake the atmosphere and the quietness and sweet spirit. The home has wi/fi and internet access and cable and satellite tv.

We will be back! the house was very clean and complete. The kids enjoyed the boat and the 2 ducks hanging around the lake. Home was close to all ammenties including the soccer venues. House is very comfortable and well designed. Nice landscape in a very peaceful setting.

My wife, son and I came to thomasville for a golf tournament. Tripadvisor gave me all the motel/hotel options and they all seemed boring. Looking on VRBO I found this house It is a wonderful place to stay. The location is close to downtown, the golf course and many restaurants. The house is spacious and well appointed with lots of homey touches. The lake view is great. My only reservation in recommending this house is that someone reading this may reserved it the next time I come to Thomasville. This is truly a gem. The owner, Janet, was very accomodating.

Your home was a welcome retreat!

We stayed in this "lake home" while in town for our family reunion. The house worked out perfectly for us and the projects I was working on for the Reunion! One of the events of our Reunion was an evening of music and I was able to set up my piano keyboard and have some rehearsal time--would never have been able to do this in a hotel/motel room. Also, there were computer/printer projects I was trying to complete for the Reunion--was able to set up my desk top computer and printer and get everything accomplished. While I was working on my projects in my dining room office(!), my husband was able to work in the bedroom on his computer--his clients never knew he was out of town. And my brother-in-law could work in his bedroom, on his computer, keeping up with his projects. The house really met our needs for this trip: my Mom could enjoy the porch and living room while we worked on our projects--we could work without getting into each other's hair (mostly!)--and, when taking a break, could enjoy the absolutely beautiful scenery out the back door! The house was so "cozy" and "homey"--we felt welcomed and "at home." Location wise, it was very convenient for us also. I hope we can return some time soon and enjoy spending time on the lovely back porch just enjoying the view. Thank you for everything and we hope we can stay in your home again!

Our vacation stay in Thomasville....

My family and I stayed at this home for some fishing, sunbathing and relaxation. We were there from 6/20 through 6/27 and enjoyed every minute of it and wanted more. The fishing was great from the very first day. It was nice to wake up before the kids and enjoy the wildlife from the back porch while sipping coffee. It was very peaceful and relaxing to enjoy the quiet moments before the kids woke up for fun and sun. The house was spic and span clean as well. The owners were very accommodating as well making sure we had what we needed for a lovely stay. I can't say enough about how beautiful and spacious the whole house was. Looking forward to a weekly vacation there every year. We might even return at Thanksgiving.

We rented this so we could enjoy time with our family during graduation. We were so pleased. This home is wonderfully kept, completely clean (I mean clean, clean, clean)! The owners were most helpful and accomodating. We were able to entertain all of the families (meaning both sides were combined). The kitchen facility is more than enough to cook in for 20+ people on a regular basis. We had a wonderful time and will plan to revisit this nice home again on our future trips. Thank you to the owners for making our stay so pleasant and wonderful. I can only say good things. The bedrooms were wonderful. The master bedroom and bathroom were equisite. Comfortable beds, clean linens, luxuorious towels. This was too good to be true and we were certainly blessed by these accomodations. A nice place to stay and relax, but yet close enough to run out and grab whatever was needed within just a few minutes. The location is conveniently located near to many places. Stay here!! You won't regret your decision. The pictures don't show how big this home really is once you are inside. We entertained every evening that we were there and did not feel crowded.
