We flew from Nebraska and our daughter and her husband drove from Eugene, Oregon. Lake Tahoe was a great place to meet for a family vacation. This house was a wonderful place to spend our down time ....very comfortable and accomodating...everything we needed was there. Safeway is close by so we cooked some meals but also great places to eat. Great north location so we were able to see all the sights and spend time on and at the lake and come back to unwind. Relaxing deck out back..and a great place to let our daughter's dog outside into a kennel that exits out of the garage. There is way more to do at Lake Tahoe than a week allows but be sure and go to the Stateline Point Lookout(its a pretty good walk) and to Eagle Rock..which is a pretty tough hike but worth it.....so much more we could say about the house and Lake Tahoe ..we will be talking about our vacation for a long time. Keep a lookout for the bears!!

We rented the cabin for a mountain retreat away from the heat of desert. The cabin/house had everything we needed. We had 7 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 dogs with plenty of room. Beds are comfortable and plenty of bathrooms. A great location for numerous area activities, we highly recommend the Truckee River Raft Co with orange paddles and Alpine Meadows for horseback riding. Also Northstar for mountain biking, and gondola rides. We would rent this again, thanks Lon:)

We stayed three weeks at the house. We had a great time. Great location and close to the beach and restaurants. The layout worked great for our family. Beds are comfortable and homeowners stocked the house well with kitchen items. We would definitely stay again.

Great home for families with children. Our group included 2 families and this home was perfect. Lots of room for the kids to play both inside & out. Home is very welcoming and kept very clean. Loved the remodeled bathrooms. All 4 adults in our party really appreciated the comfortable furniture. Felt like we had our own snow park right in the backyard. Safeway grocery store is extremely close (maybe 2 minutes away). The homeowners are extremely helpful, very easy to deal with. Our family is already planning our summer visit.

This is a really fun house to stay at. It was very kid friendly, and is in a great location to play in the snow or go down to the lake in the summer. Out the back door, there is a forest to romp around and explore with multiple streams and plenty of sledding hills. The house is set up well, with a nice kitchen, a nice big family room in the back to hang out in, and plenty of beds. We are definitely planning to go back. The owner was friendly and efficient, made renting the place very easy.

We rented the cabin for our family of four over the Christmas Holiday. The house exactly as described and I don't really think the pictures do it justice. There was TONS of room, and the house was clean and well equipped. The backyard (forest) is amazing and our Golden Retrievers had a ball in the snow. I can't really comment on the nearby attractions since we never really left the house! We had a great time and are looking forward to renting from Lon again in the summer when we can enjoy the creek, lake, and the beautiful surroundings in Kings Beach!

This is a great cabin in a perfect location between the North Star ski resort and the lake. Easy access to various types of recreation as well as restaurants and a Safeway grocery store (very important when you have kids!). My family and I have enjoyed staying at the cabin several times for snowboarding adventures and have put it on our list of annual trips. We highly recommend it.

We had 2 large families that the house accomodated very well. We loved the family room and the back patio. The house had all the amenities that was required to live. I would definately stay there again. The only concern we had was that the beach was a little futher away than expected on a busy road to walk with small children. We opted to drive and had no issues with parking, shopping, beach/bar hopping etc. We couldn't hear the traffic from inside, in fact we had the windows open every night and sleep soundly. Thanks Lon.

I look forward to staying at Kings Beach Cabin every year. I just got back and I'm counting down the days until I can go once again. Perfect access to Kings Beach. Shopping is close by. Lots of fun winter and summer activities at North Star Resort. The cabin itself is cozy and comfortably furnished. The kitchen has everything you need!
