Enjoy a romantic stay in the heart of Coral Gables in one of the original Old Spanish homes built in 1926. This French doors inspire the indoor outdoor lifestyle of this tropical paradise. The sprawling backyard is fully private with landscaped vegetation and a beautiful patio surrounding the pool for dining. The large screened in porch is an additional outdoor space overlooking the courtyard on one side and the pool on the other. The warmth of the wood floors in the formal living room as you enter the house has a view of the flowered courtyard and to your left is the formal dining room with warm Italian style lime-based wall treatments.
A Sub Zero refrigerator and a Thermadoor gas cook top are featured in this in custom designed kitchen which includes antique glass cabinet doors and hand painted tiles on the backsplash of views in the surrounding area as featured in 'Home ' magazine. The Mexican tiled family room is off the kitchen overlooking the backyard and pool. There is a downstairs full bath off the library with a desk and computer.
The upstairs has all four bedrooms, a master with the king size bed and master bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower, a second bedroom has two twin beds. In the third bedroom is a twin and trundle bed and in the fourth bedroom is a double bed. There is a second bathroom with a bathtub/shower. Each room has a dresser and closet space with lights and other appropriate furniture.

About the owner: Owners; Alan and Virginia Twaits Coming from the north we fell in love with the exotic tropical character of the Coral Gables area when we first came to Florida. We liked the idea of having the best of both a vibrant city close by with theater, restaurants and a beach combined with the space and landscape of an island retreat in our backyard. It is an area truly for the individual, no two houses are the same or the owners appealing to an international cliental.
Why the Owner Chose Coral Gables:
We fell in love with this historical gem built in 1926 the minute we saw it. The location is in' The Golden Triangle' of Coral Gables, a short walk to the famous Biltmore Hotel' and downtown Coral Gables where the historical section was designed to capture the character of Europe. Not only is the home full of character, it is centrally located. It is a ten minute ride to the international airport, two minutes to downtown Coral Gables and fifteen to the beach. The location has a vibrant international appeal and energy.

The property is fully furnished with a large flat TV with basic cable, surround sound, and a computer with internet access. The elegant formal living room has a fireplace leading into the formal dining room. The eat in gourmet kitchen features top of the line appliances off the family with a view of the pool.
