Snowshoe, hike, xcountry ski right out the door. Easy hike to Paige Meadows or an advance hike to the Tahoe Rim Trail. 2 car garage and 2 spacious decks.
The great room adjoins the kitchen and dining area for an open airy feel. The great room also has views to the West and provides memorable sunsets. The BBQ is on the Western view deck. The 5 person hot tub is on the private East deck over the driveway. Sledding can be done in the yard just outside the door. Why the Owner Chose Tahoe City
The immediate access to recreation of all types. The area is not well known and the utilities are underground so the views are unimpeded and the traffic is light. We can ski from Lakeview chairlift to the house (expert). We can hike or bike to the Sierra Crest, Paige Meadows, Tahoe Rim or Ward Creek in a short amount of time.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Hot tub. Houses are spread out. Very quiet neighborhood. Very Sunny. 10 minute drive in to Tahoe City. Feels remote even though it is not.

We are outdoor enthusiasts, a young family and Merrill has been in the Tahoe area for 27 years. We bought the house for its immediate access to the ski resort and back country. All the seasons are wonderful.

My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs and loved the house and location--perfect access to Alpine Meadows and very close to Squaw as well. We were also able to due to a couple of ski tours just a mile or so back down the road. The owner was great to work with and very responsive. I would highly recommend this rental and we will certainly be returning!

We stayed for a week last summer...Wow! Paige Meadows was amazing with all the wild flowers. We hike to Twin Peaks, up the Tahoe Rim Trail for amazing view. Also, we went to the top of the Lakeview Chair lift and then looped around. All of these trails we access from the house. The house fit us perfectly. Now, I'm trying to figure out my schedule for this summer.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

we stayed in this house over 2 weekends. one weekend in jan, and presidents weekend as well. the house was average. the house has very poor ventilation. the bedrooms are very stuffy, and hot. my sister had an asthmatic attack on the first night of our stay. the toilet was clogged up on our last day of staying. the owner accused us of clogging up the toilet on purpose. lastly, the owver also harassed us about using too many towels. we need the towels for hot tub and showers. i didnot think it was excessive to use the towels. i stayed in many vrbo rentals, the owners of this property were very rude, and gave us a hard time on our deposit. i would not recommand anyone to stay here.
Owner response:This guest had a satisfactory first stay and came for a second. The home has adequate ventilation, just turn down the heat and open a window. The guest called after check out to report a clogged toilet. I did not accuse them of purposely clogging it. The plumber said it was an "abnormal clog". The guest went into a storage closet/ bin which contained the linens for the next group. There is a washer and dryer with detergent, if needed. I held the deposit until I received the bills from the cleaner (which was greater than normal) and plumber, but I returned the full deposit instead of making an issue out of it.

Perfect rental for a family with pets! The owner was easy to contact and helped with all of our needs! Definitely plan on renting again next winter.

Great Tahoe winter getaway! It was cozy, roomy, and spacious. One of the best parts was being able to have the kids play in the snow right outside the house! The owner was so accommodating and friendly!
