Oh, my goodness...near tears as I write. At the risk of never being able to return because Alison's place is steadily booked, I would rather err in honesty to encourage as many as can be to be blessed to stay here! From the very first moment of contact, Alison could not have been more helpful. Prior to our stay, she gave wonderful advice for trip planning, as well as encouragement when our passports showed up just one day prior to departure! She navigated us through lost luggage, late arrivals, and a series of bumps that truly turned into "teachable moments" and testimonies along the way. Though we did not get our luggage until three days later, her beyond-expectation-equipped home made up the difference, in all serious. There was ample space to spread out, and over-the-top welcome goodies, pantry-fridge accommodation, all of the toiletries and amenities one could ever want (from hairdryer to maps/Irish books and movies), and unbelievable comfort and serenity, much appreciated. The view from her back patio makes you want to set up a permanent tent and refuse to go home. I imagine it would be marvelous in any season; believe it or not, we had NOT ONE DROP of "typical rain" in our nine days of travel save for a sprinkle as we headed east for our final two nights. Location? Just perfect. There is plenty to see around Listowel, which has a serious "case of the cutes"...Ballybunion Beach, Bunratty Castle, Adare, etc. Or, you can fall in love with Dingle and the Ring of Kerry as we did and hit the road daily, coming home to literal perfection. You "LIVE" Ireland when you stay here. You want for nothing. The neighbors were amazing, and seeing a working farm in action, guarding against curious cows in the process is the real and pleasantly enthralling deal. The piece de resistance? Our daughter celebrated her 16th birthday during our stay...the trip itself was the result of her lifelong dream to see Ireland. Alison even had a "Happy Birthday" banner hanging! There was NOT ONE STONE left unturned. As I shared in the inception, at the risk of sounding greedy, though we covered nearly 2,000 miles in our rented car (do not miss Galway or An Cobh...last port of the Titanic, especially 100 years later), we have a list of must-sees for our next trip, Lord willing. Alison...my goodness, what a blessing you were and are. Thank you, and thank your precious neighbors for adopting we Stateside "Eire-philes"! Our 2,000 plus pictures say it all! :-)

We had an awesome weekend in your wonderful bungalow. Plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen and main bathroom were fabulous. We didn't want to come home. It was so easy to book and there was even apple pie and soda bread waiting for us on our arrival. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

The nicest restored holiday cottage I've ever stayed in, and that's not just because it's close to the house in which I was born. Lovely atmosphere, be back for sure. Lovely, lovely lovely.
