House of the rising sun was true to its name! Each morning we woke up to the most beautiful sunrise that our friends think our photos are a postcard. Our son and daughter-in-law were so excited when swimming steps away from the house that a giant sea turtle was swimming also with them, it was unbelievable! We stayed for a week in April. We all had a great time. The location was ideal,20-30 minutes to just about everywhere on the island. The Beach was ideal for our children they were able to search for fish and marine life in the tidepools every morning at low tide. Great house and a great porch right on the water. You and your husband were the nicest folks really! We had a party showing all the pictures to relatives and friends on a slide show, I noticed that I had about fifty of your house with its magnificant view of the ever-changing ocean views to the mountains. The mountains are beautiful. They always seem so green, lush, foggy, and mysterious. The view alone was worth the cost honestly! It was exactly the way I envisioned it, but ten fold. The neighborhood was charming. The location of your house suited us perfectly. We could do the North Shore in about a half an hour, Waikiki in about 45 minutes. I found that the house was convenient to see the entire island because everything was well within an hour's drive in one direction or the other, a base to see the entire island. We went to an evening event at Bringham Young University (less than 10 minutes away) which was wonderful. Also, Turtle Bay Resort has a public beach only 15 minutes down the road and you have access to beach chairs, a beach snack bar, and a beachside dinner that was delightful. I chose your home because I wanted a house directly on the water, among native Hawaiians (not a resort area) and quiet. I also liked the photos which showed an airy, open space. It met my expections. Thankyou for providing us such a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed your beach house immensely. We loved having the ocean right outside our door with beautiful views from every window, and to top it off everything in your home is clean and new!
