Casa Las Ventanas has central air-conditioning in EVERY ROOM! While that may not sound unusual, it is VERY UNIQUE in Costa Rica, as most villas just have air-conditioning in the bedrooms and NOT in the living room, dining room and kitchen areas (just ask!). You keep very cool and comfortable in the TROPICAL HEAT inside Casa Las Ventanas or throw open the sliding glass walls and enjoy nature!
Designed by the Owner: An architectural wonder, this exclusive ocean view vacation rental home was designed to make the most of the daily jungle animal visits, as well as the incredible Central Pacific sunsets that Costa Rica is famous for. The retracting glass walls of this home, as well as the numerous large decks, balconies and terraces, invite the indoors and outdoors to blend into one, enlightening your senses to the sights, smells, sounds and wonders of a true Costa Rican rainforest.
Spacious bedrooms, with large cathedral ceilings, exotic hardwoods, onyx, slate, as well as Travertine marble and granite appointments throughout the home and entrance way, make this home as appealing to the eye as it is comfortable for our guests.
Electronics and Entertainment: Featuring our full Home Theater & Media Room offering a 72” DPL High Definition Projection TV with surround sound Audiofilist sound system with 6 zone, 3 source sound and IPOD Docking Capabilities. Additionally, this home has a comfortable Television sitting area, featuring oversized leather sofa and a 42” Plasma TV. For those that cannot leave work behind, we offer a Desktop Computer, as well as Wireless Internet for those with their own laptops.
There is also a small gym (air conditioned!) with equipment located on the lower level.
Likely the only home in the Manuel Antonio area to offer an elegant fireplace, the full 'Viking' Chef's Kitchen and expansive dining room and living areas, connect to the state of the art Media Room, make entertaining indoors as enjoyable as spending time outdoors on the numerous and spacious cantilevered decks, including large Jacuzzi Spa unit.

Since Hotel Makanda caters to adults, children under 14 years old are not allowed in the Sunspot Grill or resort pool, however the villa has its own private pool.

Our family of 6 (4 children, 2 parents) visited Manuel antonio for the week of Christmas and stayed at Casa Las Ventanas. The house was absolutely beautiful. With four master suites, there was plenty of room for the entire family. The full size infinity pool with hot tube was a huge hit, as was the full house surround sound music system. The kitchen if first class and was stocked with everything one needs. With daily cleaning service the house was immaculate. The conceriage, Julian Buralli, was magnificiant. From booking our transportation from the airport, to our daily trips, making dinner reservations and arranging for in-town transportation, we never had to worry about anything. The location provides a walk through the rain forest to a private beach while a short uphill hike quickly gets you to the main road for monring coffee. Whenever we told someone where we were staying they would say "the beautiful house which the monkeys love to visit". In fact, upon arrival we were greated by a group of 10 white faced monkeys who were passing through. We had done a lot of research before choosing CLV and we had very high expectations - these were surpassed. The quality of the Casa, the location, the wildlife, the views. Clv is located in The Makanda by the Sea resort. The Casa is totally private. being within Makanda are that you have additional security and you can order "room service" that they will deliver. The food was good quality and reasonably priced. We also used the private chef service - it was great. The only problem (if you can call it that) was the sheer amount of food! We refrigerated the left overs. The Casa has air con throughout and the main living areas have loads of sliding doors. The pool was refreshingly cool and having a hot tub as well was great.The Casa also has a concierge service and ours, Julien, was brilliant. Couldn't do enough to assist us - whether it be recommending restaurants, guides for tours in Manuel antonia NP etc. Always available and he checked in with us over the phone once a day. Dave who assisted us with our booking was also great and he called during our stay to check things were going well.We were greeted on our first morning by a troop of squirrel monkeys passing through/on/around the Casa and we were visited a number of times by white faced (capuchin) monkeys as well - a number of whom took the opportunity to have a refreshing drink from the pool. The bird life is also fantastic. As CLV is half way up a hill, you can sit on the deck or in the pool and have vultures and hawks flying pass at eye level 20 feet of so away over the forest - magnificent to watch. House was better than even pictures showed,outstanding view,had monkeys on roof and balconies most days,Joe and Jules(owners of house) were super accomadating,pool and hot tub were great,lots of privacy,the private beach close to house was down a pretty good trek tho trail was pretty good, it's nice to look at but too rocky and not alot of sandy area for typical beach activities. We booked house thru Dave at Tulemar and they allowed us to use their beach one day which was really nice. Dave and his bunch were great hosts. I was leary about sending money to someone I didnt know, but all of that went like clockwork, they did exactly what they said they would do and we all had a great time.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with some friends and family. Everyone said I had found a gem! Margaritas taste better on the deck, with the amazing views and listening to monkeys in the trees. The furniture and the décor really compliment the unique architecture. I wouldn't change a thing. We rented Casa las Ventanas with some friends from work to celebrate signing a big client. We wanted to relax and pamper ourselves, and Casa Las Ventanas made it easy. The house is nestled among the trees like it grew out of the ground. The views are amazing and the sunsets are not to be missed. After dinner, we turned off the central air conditioning and slid open the glass walls to enjoy the evening. It was like being in an elegant and luxurious tree house! Breezy and relaxing.
