Charming Home in Quiet New Neighborhood - West Hood River
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Hood River
We like the quiet newer neighborhood and the layout of the home. We are still close enough to all the activities, but have a quiet place to retreat and relax.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
The home is furnished as if we lived there, not a rental. We pay close attention to detail and we enjoy serving our guests.
Owner's Map of Hood River
We have been visiting Hood River for several years for kite boarding, cycling, mountain biking, snow skiing, hiking and riding off-road motorcycles. The dryer, warmer climate is just an hour from Portland yet feels like a world away. Hood River has a small town feel with all the amenities you will ever need.

The house was perfect. Great location, charming neighborhood. Owners were awesome to work with!!!!! They were friendly and very quick to get back to us any time we communicated with them. We couldnt have asked for anything more. House was very well appointed, had everything we could have possibly wanted. Quality of everything in the house was better than one expects when staying in a rental house, the linens, electronics, etc. Best VRBO we have ever stayed in... Anywhere...

We just stayed this past weekend (home today actually...sad to leave) and had a marvelous time! Layout of the place was perfect for the family gathering we had (halfway between our house and my parents'), close to downtown, QUIET neighborhood and wonderfully outfitted. Thanks! We'll definitely be back next fall!
Owner response:Many thanks, Heather. We thoroughly enjoy serving our guests and sharing the love of the gorge. See you next year!

My wife and I travel to many destinations across this beautiful land, and often utilize VRBO. Lately, we have often been disappointed. But not this time. Gem number one is finding a home that is truly clean, quiet, and comfortable......as advertised. Gem number two is finding an owner who genuinely cares about your stay. Brad goes above and beyond expectations to make sure you are happy with his home. Because we all are different in what we value in a vacation stay, I will not go in to detail regarding the many aspects of what we appreciated about Brad and his home. I will simply say that I find it hard to imagine that most folks would not love this little home and its location. In summary, it was not easy writing this review.........because this is a place you would like to keep for yourself..........a secret, special get away in a special part of our beautiful country.
Owner response:It has been our joy to meet our guests and hear their stories and help them explore and enjoy all the gorge has to offer.

The home is located in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood that is just a quick drive to downtown Hood River. The home's location also gives convenient access to all the outdoor activities that are available in The Gorge. Our thanks to the owners for their prompt responses to our rental inquiries.
