Our cabin rental allows you to experience a little piece of heaven every time you visit and it provides a getaway retreat for couples, families and friends who love nature and the outdoors. Stonedrifts Mountain Cabin is located within minutes of Berkeley Springs, Cacapon State Park, and the C&O Canal. With the gorgeous valley views, mountain scenery and peaceful songs of nature, it is easy to just sit back and relax. There are opportunities for hiking, canoeing/kayak on the Cacapon River, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, golfing, forest trails, antiquing, and many local festivals.
You can follow in centuries-old footsteps by “taking the waters” in historic Roman Baths or contemporary spas and with every glass of water in fine restaurants and cafes. There are self-guided tours of everything from Berkeley Springs State Park and the historic town of Berkeley Springs (Bath) to a county-wide driving tour of George Washington-related sites.
Cacapon Resort State Park encompasses over 6,000 acres. Over 20 miles of trails abound for the hiker visiting the park. From a leisure walker to an avid hiker, Cacapon has a trail to suit you. Park map and trail guides are available at the front desk. A quick drive from the cabin will put you directly in the hub of all the park amenities, including swimming, hiking, biking, horse back riding, golfing, and guided tours.

The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Berkeley Springs, a fountainhead of warm mineral waters frequented by Native Americans long before Europeans arrived in the New World, are at the heart of a mountain spa community in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. First noted as Medicine Springs in 1747 on a map drawn by Thomas Jefferson's father, the waters for many centuries have drawn visitors seeking health and relief from the stress of everyday life. In 1776, George Washington's family and friends drew up a plat of 134 lots, named the streets, and incorporated The Town of Bath, invoking the muses of the renowned English spa. Yet the magic of the springs prevailed, and the town and surrounding area are known by their name -- Berkeley Springs. The waters flow at a constant 74°F from the base of Warm Springs Ridge. Hey Lisa, Great place. We had a wonderful time this past weekend. The cabin stay was a wonderful getaway retreat. We were delighted to finally see the property and experience the scenery. Steve and I just relaxed and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. We'll definitely consider it again in the future. Thanks for letting us stay.
