Forest Gallery at Alpine Meadows, named for its pristine views of the forest and mountains, is steps away from the Alpine Meadows Ski Resort. It is the perfect place to begin a ski adventure in the winter and a relaxing spot for enjoying the beautiful mountains and the Truckee River in the summer.
With a location conveniently located between Truckee and Tahoe City, one is never far from the conveniences of town.
The layout and size of this home makes it perfect for entertaining with ample room for large families, accommodating up to 12 people.
Forest Galley is a large four bedroom; three bath home with two full master suites, one with a queen bed and the other with a king bed. The third bedroom has a queen bed and shares a bathroom with the fourth bedroom, the large “bunk room.” The bunk room sleeps six people with two sets of bunk beds and a queen bed, the perfect place for all of the kids to hang out.
Forest Gallery is equipped with wireless Internet, and a home phone, providing all of the conveniences of home. The living room has a 40” flat screen TV with a DVD player, VCR and stereo system (cable not available). Also, in the living room is a log-burning fireplace, the perfect place to warm-up and relax after a long day of playing in the snow.
The living room opens up to a deck with a magnificent view of the back of Squaw Valley’s famous mountain, KT22. During the warmer months, this is the perfect spot for barbequing and sun bathing.
Forest Gallery is located in the quiet, private neighborhood of Bear Creek Estates, located in Alpine Meadows. The community offers a wonderful little swimming pond for its residents. In the summer the pond is a favorite place for families to play in the sand, swim, and picnic on the lawn. The pond is a short, pleasant walk from the house. Other summer activities located in Alpine Meadows include horseback riding, hiking, and floating the river.
Other fun activities nearby include swimming or boating Lake Tahoe, relaxing at Common’s Beach, hiking/biking one of Tahoe’s many trails, golfing, parasailing, and discovering not only Truckee’s historic downtown, but also Tahoe City’s quaint downtown with its incredible lake views.
During the winter months, you will have access to World-renowned ski resorts including Alpine Meadows, located only an 1/8th of a mile away, as well as Squaw Valley (home of the 1960 Olympics). You can also enjoy one of the many snowshoe trails, snowmobile tours, sledding, ice-skating, and even dog-sledding.
At night, you can head into either Tahoe City or Truckee and enjoy one of the many great restaurants and bars each of these cities has to offer.
For extended summer and winter activities, as well as important telephone numbers, we provide a guidebook in the house.

A geat ski house
A geat ski house
This was the perfect ski vacation house for multiple families! Anyone who knows the owners knows that they do everything first class when it comes to homes, construction, and real estate. The combination of accommodations and location made this a perfect ski house. Even after a massive snow storm the drive to Alpine was three minutes and we never dealt with traffic. The hot tub, fireplace, and living room made for a perfect end to each of our ski days. We will definitely be back.

Year Purchased: 2006
About: Our family has lived in Bear Creek Estates now for 40 years. We raised our four daughters here, and now one of our daughters and her husband are raising their child in the neighborhood as well. I am a local business owner, having established Bruce Olson Construction 40 years ago. We love this area and bought this home to be a rental because we wanted others to enjoy the essence of Bear Creek.
Why Alpine Meadows:
The one unique feature about Bear Creek is the fact that the neighborhood has private roads and an onsite caretaker. There are very few full time residents in Bear Creek, which allows for privacy and quiet, peaceful surroundings.
