  Georgia and Walter, Since the moment we left Rockin’ 3AR, we have been planning our return. You both made an amazing life event, our wedding, a day that exceeded all of our expectations. You were so generous, considerate and detail oriented making our stay with you something we will never forget. We have been to a couple weddings since our special day in June and wouldn’t change a thing about our ceremony. It was intimate, natural and catered specifically to our every want and desire. Georgia, the food, table decorations and flower arrangements were spectacular. You went above and beyond to give us a thoughtful meal of superb quality. Walter, thank you for taking such care in preparing so many spaces around your property for us to enjoy – and for lending us your shotgun! The connection we feel with your family and piece of paradise in Ohio Creek Valley is something that will remain in our hearts for a lifetime. Until next time! Love, Jerry and Janelle.

  On our way home from exploring Utah with our Jeep, my husband and I stopped off in Gunnison for three wonderful nights at Georgia and Walter's cabin. This was our second visit to this area and the last time we rented a hotel in town which we usually like to avoid when we have more planning time. The surrounding area is beautiful and the greatest part was coming home each day to the cozy cabin where we could shake off the night chill by lighting an evening fire in the wood stove. We explored the Black Canyon National Park as well as a trek over the Ohio Pass to Crested Butte which is right in the cabin's backyard. The cabin is well appointed and we lacked for nothing. Since we were driving from Kanab Utah that day we arrived later than we normally do and missed the proper turn-off and ended up in Crested Butte so it was dark by the time we headed up into the valley but Georgia and Walter guided us in by flashing the porch light which we appreciated. Our fault for not pre-checking the road name with the map and forgetting to take our car GPS on this trip. All part of the journey!

  This is a wonderful cabin that was exactly what we wanted for our vacation. Georgia, Walter and Tux are wonderful hosts. Beautiful setting and very comfortable to live in for the week for our family of three plus two dogs. Thank you so much for offering a wonderful place to stay in the area.

  Our family spent a week at the cabin for part of our Colorado adventure. From the awesome fire pit to the amazing views from the hot tub we had a blast. Walter and Georgia made our entire family feel at home. We used the cabin as our base and traveled to Crested Butte, Gunnison, and through the Ohio Pass to see all of the great mountain scenery. We saw elk, deer, cattle, huge rainbows, went hiking, horseback riding at a nearby stable and spent wonderful evenings at the fire pit with the cabin's host dog Tuxedo. Grilling dinner while watching the mountains and listening to the wind through the aspen trees was awesome. Morning coffee on the front porch and evenings looking at the stars made this a memorable week. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, relax and enjoy the mountain air and reconnect with your family - this is the place to go!

  From the beginning Georgia made us feel right at home. The cabin was clean and lacked for nothing. The hot tub is about 50 feet from the cabin, and the view of the valley is incredible. Sitting in the hot tub as the sun set we had a front row seat to the Milky Way. Haven't seen that many stars since I was a kid. We made that a nightly event. The drive from the cabin to Crested Butte over the Ohio Pass was great; lots of aspens and views to die for. Plan on bringing the food you need for your stay as the drive back to Gunnison is about 30 mi round trip. Depending on your intent heading back to try one of the restaurants could be a good day trip. Lots of fishing in the area. I went fly fishing on the Gunnison and Taylor Rivers, where CO record fish have been caught. All in all a great experience and Georgia and Walter are there to ensure you have a great time. We will be back, that's for sure!
