This 5 acre property is surrounded by 30 year old Norfolk Pine trees and backs up to over 1000 acres of open space. It is very quiet and yet conveniently located just 3 miles outside of the quaint town of Hawi. We are surrounded by pasture lands where you can enjoy afternoon walks in the hills up and around the neighborhood and may pass the occasional car driving by. The 1500' elevation brings us the cool evenings and the trade winds are a blessing, keeping the air fresh and clean.
The studio apartment has a king sized bed, spacious sitting area, and full bath. We are happy to cook healthy meals for you or you can warm up your own meals in your apartment. If you feel like doing your own cooking on your vacation, you are welcome to share our beautiful kitchen facilities downstairs.
There is a lovely 1000 sq. ft. meditation hale with hard wood floors located on the property for yoga, meditation, exercise, and quiet time. It is a lovely space to relax in and enjoy your personal retreat. There are avocado, banana, papaya trees, and lots of land to walk and roam.
Hawi is a quaint town with great coffee shops, restaurants, and artisans. It is conveniently located to sacred sites, great snorkeling, and hiking. We are 40 minutes from the beautiful Kohala Resort Beaches and 1/2 hour from Waimea. We have a great zip line tour over the famous Polulu Valley or you can enjoy the ATV adventures, horseback riding, or an airplane ride over this spectacular area. North Kohala has a wonderful community of people and many local events for meeting people and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
My husband and I have a special call to this region of the island as his ancestors were founder's in the area who came here from Rapa Nui in the 1400's, so it is very special to us. We look forward to meeting you and hope you can share in the warm aloha of this land and our hearts.
