My wife and I and our kids age 10 and 7 were fortunate to be able to spend a month in this lovely Carmel home during the Summer and can't overstate how much we enjoyed our time there. Almost immediately after arriving we felt completely at home. This beautifully designed home and the high-end, tasteful furnishings make you quickly forget that you are renting and make it seem more as if you are a guest in a good friends home. The house is well positioned between the beach and the village allowing for a quick stroll to either. That month was some of the most relaxing time we've spent together as a family and we hope to be back within the next year or two if we are able. We can't recommend highly enough a stay at this Carmel home.

It has been our good fortune to rent this beautiful home for a month the last two summers. The pictures provided by the owner accurately show its charm and pristine condion. Every convenience is provided to make staying here a joy. A corner setting greatly enhances the views of the delightful gardens and patios and gives an open feel. The sounds of the ocean nearby can often be heard in the quiet of the evening. The perfect location of this home in the Golden Rectangle of Carmel makes walking to town or the beach a pleasure. We look forward to returning next summer!

We have rented many vacation homes before, and this one by far blows all the others out of the water! Not only is it situated in a great location, just a few blocks from the charming town as well as the ocean, but the home itself is absolutely wonderful. Our family of 5 (with 2 teenagers) found it to be very well decorated, comfortable, and with lots and lots of character. Every convenience we could have imagined was ready for us in the kitchen, which was surprisingly well laid out. Many build-ins and cozy spots to lose yourself in reading a book - inside or out, and movies available for those who don't want to read! The beds were comfortable, as was the family room seating, and the home was well stocked with everything you'd ever need on your trip (something many homes lack). It was old world charm and feel, yet with all the touches and convenience of a modern home, including air conditioning (if you really need it). This was only one stop on a month long tour from Arizona to California - and our only wish was that we would have stayed here longer!

We had a wonderful stay over Memorial Day weekend - it felt a whole world away from our busy Bay Area life. The house is located in a quiet part of Carmel, only a few blocks from the ocean, and is surrounded by an abundant but well-kept garden. The interior is open and spacious while still maintaining a cozy feel, and the decoration is each room is well-suited to its space. Every detail is attended to: we found every amenity we could ever want and more (a kitchen well-stocked with kitchenware, an iPod-compatible stereo system designed to play throughout the home, a massive library of DVDs, beach towels in case you want to go for a swim...). Unlike other places we have stayed on vacations, being here we really felt like we were at home. With everything having been taken care of for us, we were left to enjoy without interruption our time in this quiet, clean, beautiful space. Next time we are in Carmel, we definitely hope to stay here again.

Outstanding Cottage in Carmel

My wife and I stayed at this cottage with my parents for a week in June this year. We were looking for a relaxing getaway where we could stay somewhere that felt as nice as home and was within walking distance of downtown Carmel shops and restaurants. This cottage exceeded all of our expectations - I cannot think of a nicer place to stay when spending a week in Carmel. The cottage truly feels like a high-end home rather than a rental as the interior design is first rate with very nice finishes, quality furniture and outstanding artwork. The master suite on the second floor is particularly noteworthy with its own fireplace and both jetted tub and shower in the bathroom. The flowers / landscaping around the home are also beautifully done. The little touches of elegance abounded from high quality soaps to plenty of firewood to accompany evening reading in the living room. We ate out most nights and downtown Carmel was only a 5-10 minute walk - my only suggestion would be to bring a flashlight since Carmel lacks streetlamps and it can get pretty dark at times. In summary, I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway in one of the most charming towns in the country.

We just spent the weekend of 2/19/2010 in this home. It was absolutely fabulous. The home is beautiful and has all the nice little details you want. The kitchen is amazing with a Sub Zero fridge, Viking range and a great little espresso maker. There is a nice nook off the kitchen, many of the rooms have built in benches, there are three patios to sit at, as well as many movies provided and a sound system for music. We've been to Carmel for three years in a row now and this home is in a great location. You aren't far from the center of town or the beach. They were extremely prompt and helpful with the booking and all the info you need. Don't hesitate to check this one out. We are hoping to be able to book again for our trip next spring.

I just returned from a girl’s trip to Carmel and we were lucky enough to stay in this beautifully appointed cottage. From the moment we stepped in I knew we wouldn’t be disappointed. The wood-burning stone fireplace and comfy leather chairs in the living room were so inviting. The gourmet kitchen has everything including high end appliances and cookware and even an espresso maker! All of the bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, too. It is ideally located in a quiet and charming neighborhood perfect for morning walks. The beach and downtown full of shops and restaurants are just a few blocks away. We had a delightful stay in this stylish and comfortable cottage and I’m looking forward to returning again soon.
